Never worn one ... ... and sorry if pointing out that United's 'wholly organic growth' just happens to include more British record transfer fees than any other clubs stings your footballing sanctity .. footballing romance eh? ... and I've no problem with that, btw ... just brings me nicely back to my view that the most successful clubs spend the most money ... can't really be argued with tbf ... My problem is around contrived financial restraints being imposed on other clubs to prevent them doing the same ...
They spent money building over years. It's not a sport where every year every clubs starts from scratch. It's the basis of the entire point, but if you look at overall spend the club's that have spent the most money have won the most trophies. Simply looking a little periods of time here and there doesn't give you enough information and actually leads you to the wrong conclusion.
Was this before or after Flos got shown up for making up nonsense about our defence costing more than Lesta’s starting XI ? Coz I wanna know if that damage spilled over into a double dip in the rinser for him.
Bang on Munse ... and its the fans of those same clubs that bleat the most about others outspending them ... as Citeh and Chelsea have done incredibly successfully... Ooh ... there goes my 'reputation' again for pointing out the blindingly obvious ... what will I do? .... I'll never be able to show my face again in .... errrrrr.... well somewhere for sure!
The thing is these clubs do have a reputational advantage. If the rules were equal to all clubs they'd still have that, but unfortunately that's not enough of an advantage for them is it. They want to secure themselves at the top of the table and the last thing they want is a fair fight of any description.
'Shown up' ... you should have been watching the game but instead I had you on Google checking your club's transfer fees!!!
Sucky's on about my 'reputation' on Not606 mate ... probably because it's the centre of his world ... certainly ain't, and never will be, mine ... Wholly agree that the biggest, most successful clubs, have the best chance of attracting the top players ... but Chelsea and PSG have shown that money talks and that some of the very best will readily take top dollar over 'romance' ...
Peej this really shouldn't be difficult to understand, but the clubs that won those finals spent considerablely more. It's football so while it's not impossible, it's always odds against a club outside the biggest spenders to ever win anything. Again, this is why what Leicester did is the only impressive title win
Who is it you're quoting with that 'wholly organic growth' line? I can't recall anyone ever claiming that? Or is this just you making **** up. Again. I didn't read the rest
Was gonna say "total transfer cost of XXX team for 20XX season" is hardly putting Google's algorithms into overdrive.
that’s a magic display. Because from the point you pick, Everton have won stuff, Newcastle haven’t…..but spent the same.
