And yet they've picked up almost 4 times the amount of points we have. Plus we've had a few results there since Fergie retired so definitely not out best chance
I'm not going. **** that journey on a Thursday night with another away game two days later. Not really worried about anything tbh as this season was over in October. Tell a lie I'm worried about Swansea turning us over in the cup.
Fair point about the armchair fan comment. As regards the games you're way off. Against Bournemouth Man Utd had more shots, more shots on target, a higher expected goals, 60% possession and it was 1-0 still into the second half. Bournemouth were more clinical and well done to them but you play that game 10 times and Man Utd win more than they lose. Last night we hammered them in the first 30 mins, went 2-0 up and should have had 4 or 5 (missed two sitters, hit the post and had one correctly ruled offside). We then sat back for the last hour as the game was won and we've got to play away to Tottenham and Arsenal this week. Man Utd didn't have a single shot on target all game. It was surprisingly comfortable, no offence meant to Man Utd but that's just how it was.
Thanks, I'd trade it for the League Cup from a couple of years back though! It's nice to have won but unless we get something meaningful from it it ends up just being nice.
Likewise - seen United and Spurs relegated in my teens ... but ain't gonna happen this season - they'll reinforce in Jan and have too much for the likes of us, Ipswich and Saints - our targets have to be the likes of Wolves, Palace and Everton if we are to have any chance of escape ...
Apparently INEOS have said Amorim is getting zero funds in January for new players!! Seems a bit suicidal to me, if they were gonna do that then they should have gotten rid of Ten Hag at the end of last season. Amorim has really been handed a poisoned chalice here. A ****e squad, no money to make signings....I know their squad is better than 14th, but still, hard to polish a demotivated turd.
Don't really know what Utd need atm, other than some better results obvs. On paper they have got a decent squad, players like Martinez, De Ligt, Dallo, Erkison, Bruno, Casemiro, Rashford, Hojland, Garnacho, Amad They should be top 6 and pushing for a top 4 spot with those players.
Ineos brought Amorim in knowing fine well about, and because of, his preferred style of play. He wanted to come in summer, they made him come immediately. They now have to support him. The idea he could he sacked is ludicrous. As is the idea they won't support him financially. People need to stay off Twitter.
Ah, OK. So you've just seen what everyone else has seen. And you still think we could be relegated. K.
Maybe, just about. This is from last night, I'd only keep 12 of the entire current squad and two if those are only just. Complete overhaul required. We've already got people saying that the manager should go, or he adapt to the players who have been stinking the place out for years, not the other way round. Truly staggering.
That's a massive clear out and you then have to replace those players with better ones. That would take 2-3 seasons to achieve realistically. Out of your bin list I would keep Martinez, Dalot and Zirkzee. But Onana would be up for sale, he's a liability. And Rashford, whilst there's a cracking player in there, needs a move away even if it's on loan.
Dalot is ****e. Tries hard, works, but simply not good enough. He's a symbol of all that's wrong with us, quality wise. Zirkzee was a mistake. And an Ashworth one too, no wonder he was sacked. He looks like he won a raffle. If you've been watching, you'll have seen how poor and, last night at least, piss weak Martinez has become. He can't play the back three, which he really should suit, and he's fourth choice, for me, in a centre half pair. Maybe keep, yeah, but captain? Do me a favour. Rashford needs to leave, quickly.
