Worst bit for me, I always give refs benefit of the doubt, and actually have a lot of respect for them, especially the stick they get from fans, but when twats put videos like that up it just makes me look gullible lol....cheating fooking bastards.

Every team in every league has referees that are biased against them, not always outright cheating but often all the 50/50 decisions for free kicks and penalties go against you

He'll lose his job and rightly so as it's unprofessional to make comments like that.

I do think fans make more of this kind of thing than is realistic though. If a referee is professional then who gives a **** whether they like your club or not? Do all doctors like their patients or all solicitors like the clients they are being paid to represent? Nope. They're doing a job to the best of their ability.

Fans like to claim corruption and favouratism as it suits the childish "woe is me" understanding of the world - like pupil who get told off by a teacher "because they hate me" rather than because of their behaviour - when in reality referees just make mistakes as they're human beings. Do big clubs get more decisions? Probably yes, but there's a variety of reasons for that and referee corruption i don't think is one of them.

ps. Does anyone actually disagree with anything the guy said?

No

Isn't this ref the gimp who was forced to give West Ham a penalty the other day by Oliver, when he'd made the correct decision in the first place?

Probably allowed the video to come out so he doesn't have to endure such ****e anymore. There's probably another video out there stating Oliver to be a **** also.

Which would also be a correct statement.

He can say what he wants if he's not shafting the British tax payer for £1.35M in wages. A fee that many of those paying cannot afford. Not forgetting the many that dodge paying.

Actually I don’t begrudge him the salary. He’s an excellent presenter and he could probably have made more elsewhere. Not his fault he was offered it just as it’s not the fault of other presenters on crazy dough for presenting a bit of radio. Silly numbers of course relative to us plebs but then mediocre footballers are pulling in far more these days.
