You and I are on different sides of the football spectrum. But I have to ask, if trophies are so important to you why do you stick with QPR? Same question to brb who claims trophies are all that matters and follows Gillingham.
Very strange. If you all want trophies support City who buy them every year.

Where did I say that?

I'm taking the piss out of your absence of trophies, and admire your £1B stadium for NFL with no trophy cabinet in it....nor a cheese room.

I wish they would just take things into their own hands. Like they were reported to do when Bobby Robson was in charge, although I think that was more of a discussion.

Whatever Southgate is telling them is not working.

They're being loyal to him and doing as they're told but being hammered for it by us and the media.

Its a big call but I do agree they should do what they think is right.

Big characters need to step up.

Was hoping that would be Kane but he's been quite subdued.

Ange is taking them to glory and anyone who says otherwise doesn’t know anything. Doubly so if you happen to support a club even less likely to win anything. Mate.

I loved it yesterday when I got the old line, well I've been supporting them since the 50's, someone give that guy a medal <laugh>

You don’t pick your football team. You’re given it unless you’re a glory hunter or oddball. Success is relative. Yes I probably won’t see a trophy win but give me a decent cup run or promotion playing **** football over a glorious mid-table finish playing like prime Ajax. If I was a Spurs fan like most of the synagogue I’d want a trophy and top four regardless of playing style over ‘Angeball’ and not getting close because that is what success would be for Spurs.
Lot's of people do pick their football team. I picked Spurs because I liked how they played football and like their ethos which even Levy has had to bow to. My parents met in Tottenham so that made my choice legitimate, as I am a South Londoner. Lots of new Chelsea fans or City fans now because of trophies. Huge numbers of United fans from the tragedy of Munich. Not all people are born into their football teams. My first team was Dulwich Hamlet and I noticed Germany playing in their colours.

Kane has taken a lot of stick but Wrighty has it right he has had no service. Kane never rushes about the pitch I think it was Sherwood who gave him his debut at Spurs and suggested he either walk of run but not the amble that he does <laugh> Kane is a master of being in the right place like Greaves was all those years ago. Who also used to get stick for not running enough. Balls into the box have been few and far between from England but they score almost as soon as they do. It's not difficult Southgate just get balls into the box.

That’ll be the 50s which they started off winning promotion and then the league.
That'll be when Arthur Rowe started push and run football at Spurs and in effect invented modern football that the Dutch developed into 'Total Football' THEN they won the double.

Yes mate we’re all grateful for the incredible impact Spurs have had on the history of the sport. Nobody passed the ball until then.

I am just baffled why Saka declined to run into space reach the byline and centre the ball. It's basic but he continued to turn back and pass it back??? Nobody wanted to run forward until Cole Palmer and Eze arrrived.

That last bit isn't strictly true as Mainoo went forward and took on opponents every time he had the ball.

Gareth took him off! (That's probably why he took him off!)

Got lucky last night, nothing more, this was no tactical masterstroke.

But that's clearly already been well discussed this morning.

Apologies to Maino yes he did try to be positive.

<laugh> You hate it don't you. How about Venables at QPR and the incredible job he did. That was a good time for your club.

Why would I hate it?

Yes it sounds like it was. We wouldn’t have played such good football if Spurs hadn’t re-invented the game 30 years earlier.

Unbelievable, after watching the crap that England have dished up in this tournament you attack Scottish football. At least with their limited resouces they tried to move the ball forward what's Englands excuse?

England don’t need an excuse, they’re still in the tournament. Are we supposed to admire Scotland for losing with style? Had enough of that heroic failure bollocks with England thanks very much, I’ll take wins however they come. Come to think of it, you should have had enough of heroic failure too, given Spurs record in all competitions. No one remembers the losers mate.

I remember when what seemed like the world and his wife used to berate Rooney for all of England's problems. We seem to have mellowed since then lol
