All comes down to the complete incompetence of the PL, they have a rule regarding ffp but no set penalty for what the Consequences are for breaking those rules. We'll just make it up as we go along.
10 points was jokes anyway, if you're a half decent side 10 points is **** all. As Everton displayed, the likelihood of them actually going down was low. Now it's clear as day, FFP is a joke, you can't enforce it as you can't prove dick and there's too many loopholes. Who even sets such arbitrary deductions like 10 points, now it's 6? Who sat down there and said "okay, let's make it 6." Six, so what, the things Everton were innocent of were worth ... 4 points? I don't understand, where do these numbers come from. What allegations are worth 4 points, how do we find out what a financial breach is worth? Imo, if Everton are sound, give em all back. What is this nonsense.
Well it’s clear the process wasn’t fit for purpose. Said this all along, this was PL way to not have an independent commission, luckily this has shown they need one to rule out incompetence/inconsistency.
My guess is that Forest at a reported breach or £40m will have a suspended points deduction and unsure what will happen with Everton?
