We were ****e then too, in his last season, the Leicester season.
Finished 10th in Jose's final season and spent the first two thirds of the season fearing relegation.
As **** as we are now, at least we have not been anywhere near the relegation places! <laugh>

Weren't you 10pts above the relegation zone under Potter for like 4 months? <laugh>

10 points is a chasm at the bottom of the league my friend.
Takes relegation sides half a season to rack up 10 points, which is why they are in the relegation zone.
Its not like the top 4, where a couple of bad weeks can turn a 10 point gap into a 3 point gap.

Huh

Roma spent 9m and sold players worth up to 75m last season.

There's 20 teams in Serie A and Roma are 18th on the transfer market in terms of spend

They won a trophy first season and got to a Europa League final last season and haven't spent a penny really.

So they have, quite rightfully, stagnated.

That's on Roma, not the manager. They have one of the most injury prone forwards in Europe

That was last season.
They spent £150m in the summer Jose arrived.

Tbf I have a tad more experience at the back end of the table than you lot do

It was our life for 10 years

Yeah, you gotta spend every single season

See, you lot spend a billion a year so it's an alien concept, but if you spend 150, win a pot, spend a tiny bit and don't go anywhere, then spend nothing ... Well, er, you're gonna sit still.

Unfortunate reality of football that owners don't want to acknowledge

Pffft, 10 years is that it? Back when I was a kid in the 90s I thought the club was actually called 'struggling Southampton'.

<laugh>

Love you lot. I like how casually people chat about the "old days" and how Saints were ****ing crap "but they did have le Tissier"

Tammy's at Roma, where Jose just was. Had a decent first season but a **** second season, hasnt featured this season so far, think he had a bad ACL injury in pre season.

You are right to a point. Carlo was never gonna win the league with Everton, nor was Jose with Spurs or Roma, but the point is Jose didnt really improve Spurs or Roma, or take them up a notch, which he especially should have done with Roma, given the money they spent, and the fact that he had 2 whole seasons there to get things done.
Hopefully Poch wont follow him down the same road in a years time!

Poch likened to Jose. Oh my ****ing days <laugh>

Think this is where the PL will see an independent regulator put in place.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67993371

a date is set for City hearing but he can’t say when, two other clubs know when the results will be in for a charge after the date city broke the rules.

if Everton have broken the rules, then so be it. But hold the rest to the same rules/timeframe.

I don't really follow this shhite in any detail, but I thought I'd heard yesterday, that the reason Man City / Chelsea are appearing to be dealt with longer than Everton / Forest because the two time periods were under different rules. Probably bolloxs and I probably misheard or misinterpretated what was said.

I thought Man City and Chelsea claimed not guilty and Everton and Forrest pleaded guilty.

I know which set are winning when it eventually comes down to who might have to pay the legal bill <whistle>

Ah fair enough mate, it makes more sense what you said.

could be, but this is where an independent regulator will make things clear.
