It's the pull for foreign viewing figures that they need City for, I imagine that they are a popular club on paper.I would imagine that seeing City out of the PL for a season would launch viewing figures up.

I think it may have slipped your mind. The initial issue the other clubs in the league had was that you sold your sponsorship to Trestellar (a company owned by your owner) and they sold it to King Power (a company owned by your owner) and it increased from £5.2m to £16m, a figure way higher than the market rate. Hence another chairman in the league saying, and I quote:
"What Leicester did looks like financial doping by the owners, while other clubs were complying with the rules we all agreed,"

While I hear what you say, and agree to a certain extent, it was a case of at the time, if we fail, we may fold as a club anyway. You have to go back and remember where Man City as an example came from, they were in the third tier of English football, they didn't even make autos and were trailing 2-0 in the play-offs up until the 90th minute, reality was 5 mins extra time, saved the club.
You need to go look at the National League as well as South and North divisions, it's a graveyard of old football clubs, and unless you've got the money like Rangers in Scotland, you are going under. Rangers you may remember did get what you want now, relegated to the lowest division of Scottish football.
Let's say you strip City of all their titles and put them in L2, do you think their money men will walk away or will they just use their power to relaunch themselves again, whereas 24 years ago they didn't have the money to do that, so either way, whatever fate you bestow them, it's still going to be a win win, and their haters will still be bitter. Look no further than clubs like Juventus for examples of that.

Who was that other owner?![]()
I know it looks like I get onto fosse about this all the time
But you are spot on Haslam
Because it wasn’t premier league it went totally unnoticed
Apparently by some of their fan base too
I do not begrudge them their wins - it was good what they did however it was based upon foundations of cheating and as such does not deserve the rapture it always seems to get
to those clubs who didn’t have the same financial clout as Leicester it’s exactly the same as what City are doing and Chelsea.
if we ever get caught doing **** like that I will say the same.
that said I still don’t see what can/will happen
Feel bad for Everton that they are being picked on but also feel they should have stayed within the rules.
equating what we did in the EFL to the constant FFP breaches in the EPL is really grasping - the EFL were more than happy to accept a £3 million, without, prejudice, out of court settlement ...Watched a documentary on it.
Turns towns in to places full of zombies
If you're interested then go on and Google it, it's about time you did some research into these events.
Well yes I agree but I don't think they'll do that to bigger clubs and make their product worse.
Absolute battering youve had on here today its been glorious to watchSucky fantasising again - it' good to dream
... I had one where we beat Liverpool to a first ever EPL title - despite all the money they threw at it for a quarter of a century ... oh but wait!!
Do you still have the recurring one -where Pep comes and ruins your sleep by out managing Kloppy?
"I have a dream... "
Smartin' Dufus Suck

Everton worked with the PL and like Leicester didn’t plan for Ukraine (Leicester planned for TV money)
10 points is what it is, club will stay up and use this to galvanise the squad and fans.
I don’t expect you to get itequating what we did in the EFL to the constant FFP breaches in the EPL is really grasping - the EFL were more than happy to accept a £3 million, without, prejudice, out of court settlement ...
weirdly Derby fans hold a very similar opinion of LeedsDerby must have had it for years, strange lot there. Definitely interbred
I don’t expect you to get it
I don’t blame you for arguing it
your club cheated end of
They paid to keep the silence
Don’t blame them
Cheating is cheating
And yes comparatively it’s my opinion that Leicesters’ was more comparable to a Chelsea or City
Ie done deliberately to gain an advantage
I don’t feel that’s anymore grasping than what you yourself always do on here
Everton’s I feel was more a misjudgment
I could be wrong
End of day my opinion matters not a jot
as I have said before - every time you bang on about fairytale super love in for Leicesters amazing win of the top league before Liverpool managed to win it
I will simply point out your club cheated to do so
Is it Internet talk or true that, if you appeal and lose, your points deduction will be -15
weirdly Derby fans hold a very similar opinion of Leeds
Yes and No. cos i just said the next team to that for early kick offs is on About 8
This will be our 14th i think
But yeh whatever
they have nearly bankrupted him .Agree with all of this to be honest. I went to Uni and then lived in Leicester for 8 years, met my wife there and most of my friends still live in the area, and loved seeing them win the league but what they did to get promoted was more than just bend the rules a bit and they effectively got away with it - there's a consistent oddity in this country of being fine with people who get away with things but harsh on those who actually get caught and punished, it makes no sense whatsoever.
Everton have been remarkably unlucky in terms of the timings of things. A massive club in the 80's when English clubs then got banned from Europe and curtailed them, dwindled then before the real money came in and then when they finally get owners who want to back them it's no longer allowed.
