I thought we'd overpaid for Gordon by some margin (reckoned £25m was about right rather than £40m) and posted plenty about how I thought it was going to be the first proper misstep by us since the take-over. Think I was wrong as Gordon has been very good for us so far this season, his stats are good but that is only part of the story as the truth is that he's a nuisance and creates chances for our other players. I've been really impressed but he'll suffer from burn out if we can't get our other forwards fit too.

The initial issue the other clubs in the league had was that you sold your sponsorship to Trestellar (a company owned by your owner) and they sold it to King Power (a company owned by your owner) and it increased from £5.2m to £16m, a figure way higher than the market rate. Hence another chairman in the league saying, and I quote: "What Leicester did looks like financial doping by the owners, while other clubs were complying with the rules we all agreed,"
