I really thought going into this game Roma were going to get thrashed, especially as they had been so poor in Serie A the last few weeks, although hope was it was just Jose resting players. But after what I saw Sevilla do to Man Utd, from that time on it was always their trophy, it was just the tactics that prevented the thrashing and took it to the wire. I'm far more confident Man City will win the CL if the players keep their heads, because Inter will be the same as Roma for cheating.
Jesus Navas won this competition in 2006 with Sevilla and winning it again with them in 2023. That’s wild.
Villa finished mid-table when they won the proper European Cup. Inter finished somewhere near relegation when they won the UEFA cup in the 90s I believe.
Just seen that Sheffield Wednesday has an open top bus parade for winning the League one play offs FFS
A major one yeah but not a 3rd division play off for a bigger club though surely? Maybe if you're Doncaster Rovers or something but embarrassing for a club like Wednesday imo. Even winning the third tier shouldn't bring a parade for clubs with top flight ambitions. Tin pot.
