It will have all washed away between tonight's result and Sunday's ...... fingers crossed. On the plus side by the time Liverpool get back to the Champions League if the dogshit hasn't washed away it will have turned that powdery white way, and then it disappears coz the scally's borrow a fiver, roll it up and snort it off the deck
Top 4 next season is going to be interesting. Man City only team guaranteed. Other three will be between us, Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea.
I'll be honest, I'm not convinced we'll do as well next year. Squad's depth is weak, and info I was told is the money we have this summer is nowhere near as much as people are expecting due to FFP restraints. Granted new sponsor, Notts Forrest being crackers and a higher league placing than expected will add a bit more than back in Jan. The fact is Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs and West Ham have had piss poor season's by their standards and are likely to come back next year bigger and stronger and I think Villa could be an outside threat next year too. You then can't discount West Ham being back up there and Leicester too if they survive and get their **** together and add Brighton in the mix too. I'm already looking forward to it.
A trophy bare minimum should be your target next season. Although How will probably be told it's top 4.
The problem I see with that is I think ToonArmy is right to a degree and it's too much pressure due to us being so long without one. We need to get that issue gone. I think that was a small part of the display at Wembley back in feb. Cracked under the added pressure. With us being a one club city.....Most support Newcastle from Berwick to Durham so Mileage wise largest in the land (I think, population wise no where near.) Yes Saff a lot support Sunderland in Sunderland and Durham too. Everywhere the players go they can't escape it. It's in the local papers, every website, every radio station, every shop front gets murals painted on them its nuts, and as a result it puts extra pressure on them. I think the first one will be the league too as a result.... We may have had an outside chance in a Europa league, Europa Conference or a cup if we can fluke a so called smaller club in the final, but we'll struggle against the serial winners. We don't have a cat in hells chance in the Champions League I'm afraid. Our squad is simply too weak outside say the first 13 or 14, and even then some question why some of those players play regularly.
No way Newcastle finish top 4, next season. The points you have would normally have you outside top 4 most seasons. With the added European games and teams like Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs back on it. I don't see you finishing top 6. I expect Villa with a full season under Emery to be above you as well. The transfer window will tell us a lot but at the minute, I'd say City, Arsenal, Utd, Liverpool.
If Leicester stay up this season, they'll have an embarrassing time of it, next season. That club is done. Tielemans, Maddison and Barnes will be away and the rest look like Championship quality. Especially the goalkeeper and defenders. There's clearly not much money to spend. I hope they do stay up. I want to see Everton drop.
Bit of a blanket statement. Theres not more Newcastle than Sunderland supporters in Durham. Then you have South Tyneside which is split right down the middle. Everywhere north from Gateshead all the way to Berwick, the vast majority is Newcastle.
Not having that mate, I have it on very very good authority that Faes and Amartey are elite and world class as a pairing at the back.
We will see how you gobshite Toon ****s deal with 3 fixtures a week let’s see if your billions builds you a team this summer to fight on 4 fronts A lot of the established teams know how to play that system you ****s are only used to playing midweek so long as your in the league cup no amount of talking out of your arses is going to help then. especially when fixture congestion in new year starts You won’t be 3rd or above next season
That was a bet on Spurs getting top four. If you’re assuming Newcastle will finish much lower this is a better bet for you. Will be tough for them to juggle Europe while you’ll only have 40 games.
My observation had nothing to do with Spurs A valid bet would be ‘The Toon won’t finish top 3 next season’ anyone interested? but I’ll ask that question in September after the transfer window
That would be a silly even money bet whereas the bookies probs have Spurs ahead of Newcastle for next year.
