From experience when you’re down fighting against relegation it’s best just to go down so you can rebuild and come back stronger. You’re only delaying the inevitable. Forest, Southampton, Leicester, Everton, Leeds. The teams that stay up will only be doing the same next season. It’s best just to get it over and done with.
I think we were still on the old BBC606 when that happened, I don't think I'd ever shown being gutted about football.
The mans right. I was at the game when we dropped into the old 2nd division and was gutted at the time. The truth is that we came back as champions at the first attempt playing great watchable football and never looked back, after a few years of dross that was a great re-set.
