I listened to the game while sorting out the kids but caught the goals by rewinding. The only thing that annoyed me is that there is a good chance we will get reduced allocations for using smoke bombs again!!

Great to see Baines get some minutes as he is great backup to Galloway <ok>

Lukaku getting on the score sheet again was also good to see<ok>
Some dolt let one off in the pub before the game <doh>

I don't think it'll affect future allocations though.

We have had warnings in the past, especially at Arsenal. I will be down the line for final tickets if we are lucky enough to get through due to missing the cup games, would be gutted if allocations are cut because of this problem we have(unless ST means automatic ticket :-) )

Not even going to think about a possible final appearance just yet..

Will defo go to both legs of the SF though, providing we don't end up with Southampton ;)

Liverpool giving the saints a proper thrashing fair play...

I wouldn't mind a mersey derby in the sf but a final would be better I think the way klopp wants them to play would make it a great game as they go forward constantly and we are more than capable on the counter attack :-)

Hope it happens

As predicted we got the worst possible draw and the RS got the best available.

City over 2 legs, with the Goodison tie first up, meh.....I can't see anything but a predictable defeat.

Can't say i'm chuffed with the draw either and yup predictable lucky pool draw....

Mind it would be funny if Stoke stuffed Liverpool now that Klopp is Astro's most newest favourite person in the whole wide world <laugh>

Can't see it though <steam>

4 days ago they were ****e and Sturridge was a sick note who ought to be weighed in.

Today they're on the verge of a title challenge and Sturridge is the best thing since sliced bread.

God love 'em.

I think Stoke will be the toughest game.

They won't come out and be open as Southampton were. They are solid while having a good attacking threat

Tougher than City?

I take your point, and they'll be resilient for sure, but I'd have taken them all day long over our draw.

I think with the first leg being so early in the new year much depends on the injury list after the festive fixtures for all the teams involved

City without a doubt are the best side in it, but I fancy our chances if we don't add to our injury list and have players like Jags back and Besic

On our day we can give anyone a game, but over the 2 legs I think we'll have to come up against a City who are below par on one of the evenings (like the RS did)

We were unlucky last night. Seeing the ball hit the underside of the bar twice and bouncing out off the inside of the post, you felt it was going to be one of those nights.

The goal we conceded was sloppy, but fair play to Palace for being very well organised and great on the counter. I thought they cramped the space well which stifled our game in the attacking 3rd.

Deulofeu had their left back on toast, but his final ball was just lacking a bit last night (barring the goal of course)

I can see how they've won 4 out of their last 6 aways before last night. A good side Pardew's put together there.

Spot on I thought the woodwork having a shagging was the one of those nights signal tbh

The extra man they had in the middle dictated that we went wide and less direct through the middle. Palace was going to be tough as they have good away form.

Woodwork and the great save from Cleverley denies ed us the three points
