Agree about Calvert Lewin but quite what he was thinking starting him as wing back I'll never know. The lad needs to either play up top, or not at all.

The shot from the Swiss dwarf was bending away from him and he didn't just get a finger tip to it, he pushed it away. A truly wonderful save. His reaction at the end was fantastic

I could see it as it curled away from me. Saw MOTD and he should have walked for his elbow.

DCL showed his willingness to play anywhere. But if not as part of the front three, then not at all for me.

Much better tonight first half was very good, quick passing and movement, we looked a real side in that 45

Lost a bit of momentum when he took the silky Schneiderlin off at HT to save any potential 2nd yellow, and we were looking to manage the game rather than dry hump them.

I know normally the qualifying rounds of the Europa (and even the group stages by some) is considered a problem due to the extra games but in your case it should come in handy as it speeds up the bedding in process for your huge influx of new players. The advantage of the EL is they are competitive games but you should still win them whilst finding your form and deciding your formation / players.

Was never easy game last night. We still look short of match fitness.

I agree mate, the 3 competitive EL games we've had so far have helped the side start to gel, as they're meaningful games. Split wasn't an easy draw though, they're not a bad side at all.

It went from being a nice atmosphere to toxic within 30 seconds. Didn't help with home fans goading!

But it soon settled down once some were escorted away.

Lukaku was crap, your problem isn't no one has replaced his skill, but that at least your "hoof to Lukaku" tactics were simple and clear

Drop Rooney for any striker and you'll improve

Then the other problem Koeman saddled you with is zero pace
