You’re right and as it stands, Spurs haven’t even been in the bottom three yet.

It’s just momentum and results that make it seem inevitable to some
West Ham have Wolves next. We'll almost certainly kick off away to Sunderland in the bottom 3.

Spurs missed some good chances in the first half, but Forest bosses it in the 2nd half.
Forest are strong on central midfield, especially when MGW drops deep to make a three. As with Atletico away, it seemed odd to go with quite an inexperienced midfield two against tougher, more experienced players. As good as Gray is, it’s asking a lot of him. Why not play tackle king Palhinha? Forest dominated more and more in this area as the game progressed.
Spurs’ defending was shocking at times too; worst defensive record in the PL outside the bottom three. No **** Sherlock

Today’s tickets for my boys and myself cost £357. Lunch/drinks £50. Parking £25. £140 in the Spurs shop. Including fuel, today cost me circa £600 for that shower of ****!

Similar last month against Newcastle. Feck knows why some folks decide to go regularly. No-one leaves the stadium happy these days.

Obscene amount of money for that crap

I’ve often said I wouldn’t go if it was free these days. Value my time too much to watch those rotters let everyone down like they have been the last few seasons.

Partly my fault for opting for the 1882 package, which was not worth the extra expense!

I’ve already told my sons I’m not going again this season! Still, it was a nice day out with my boys despite the disappointments elsewhere!

He barely played in AFCON and was hardly tearing it up beforehand. He should never have started over Palhinha.
He was one of the players who got sick ahead of the final, so we had somebody on the pitch who missed the best part of a month by benchriding at the AFCON who also had to be rested for a couple of weeks due to the Moroccan FA visiting Salisbury cathedral in the Senegalese dressing room before kickoff

Wasn't there the rumour he caught some sort of virus out there? Was certainly running on empty for the 2nd half and should have been pulled earlier. Also what's this about VDV? Not injured I'm hearing...?
Croydon details the 'bug' story above :emoticon-0148-yes:

Yes...sadly the decision to sub VDV was tactical .. Pretty much sums up the day - and the club in general.

Apart from one nice run to the byline, I thought Micky was shocking. Looked like everything was laborious and he couldn't be bothered running.

He's been like this for a long time now which, despite his protests to the contrary, is why there are so many rumours swirling that he has already agreed a move away in the summer.

Micky isn’t the star he thinks he is.

Said it before, take his pace away and he’s bang average

Put him in a good team and he won’t look out of place but he’s a follower rather than a leader if that makes sense

So another home defeat. The THS seems to be a cursed ground, one where it seems impossible for us to win. Infact, we’re conceding goals galore and losing the majority of the time. With this in mind, when looking at our remaining fixtures, do we essentially have to presume that this pattern will continue? We stated the importance of beating palace and forest at home in recent weeks, and ended up conceding a total of 6, without getting a point from both matches. Two monumental games in our season, where the results were as bad as they could have been. How can we go into the Brighton, Leeds and Everton games expecting anything? Brighton have always been a thorn in our side, Leeds will feel confident against us and are a hard side to beat, and Everton under Moyes will professionally see us off.
It’s hard to see this home hoodoo ending any time soon, so the away matches of Sunderland, wolves, Villa and Chelsea are ones we have to look at in terms of where the points are going to come from.

We simply must go to Sunderland and wolves and win. Then somehow, SOMEHOW, pick up a point or 2 against Villa and Chelsea.

It’s really bleak.

Ronero’s turn with the usual post-home match rubbish this week!

It’s always just words. How many games at home have we heard the same rubbish!

Would be nice if he showed something on the pitch. May as well just stay with Argentina so he doesn’t give us his half arsed effort doing less than the bare minimum for us so he can stay fit for the World Cup.

Lets not write off Wolves completely they have been pretty decent recently and whilst I expect the spammers to win it is not as foregone a conclusion as it was earlier in the season , they may yet catch us!

I feel that I must apologise to everyone here, as this season it does appear that I am the Jonah, I don't know what I did to upset the footballing gods last year, but this for me has been the most awful period from just a footballing perspective. Many of you here know that alongside my love of Spurs I have a season ticket at Gillingham, I have only missed a single game at the Gills this season in January when they won the only home match that has been won at Priestfield since the 13th September...coupled with Spurs excellent home form most of which I have watched from afar I have seen 1 home league win across 2 teams in 6 months..Fortunately the Gills had a good August and probably won't go down unlike Spurs who are doomed...

I’m seriously wondering whether they are a few players who simply do not care and actually want to see the club relegated simply so they can secure an easier transfer elsewhere.

I suspect the likes of Romero, VdV, Vicario, Spence, Porro meets the criteria.

I’m now at the point that whilst ENiC has created this mess, this toxicity has manifested into the players and they simply do not care. No manager will fix this at this late stage.

It won’t be our players that will dictate relegation or not, it will be down to the other clubs such as WH and NF.

The attitude of writing off this season and fixing in the summer seems to have hit the team from multiple angles

Frank certainly seemed to adopt this attitude when we didn't get Gibbs-White and Savinho, coupled with his system getting broken by Bournemouth early on, so he seems to have settled into the idea of ****ehousing his way to 50ish points and then getting the players he wanted next summer, only for the combination of injuries and the squad being capable of playing one game a week to nip that in the bud even before his tactics unravelled

There's certainly a case of this from the board too, given it's been pretty open since about November they were looking to get Poch back next summer, again shrugging off half a season even though we didn't have enough points on the board to make that a viable not-stupid-idea considering we had just 18 points posted by the end of November, compared to having 27 points posted when Sherwood was given the job in December for his stint, while for Mason we had 50 posted for his first stint and 53 for his second

I can't see us turning this around.

As you've said, the problem isn't just the results, it's the performances that have gone with them. It is rare beyond measure that we feel hard done by at FT.

That hasn't been the case for our relegation rivals, and for a while. None of them have been playing badly at all, they just haven't got the results their performances deserved. Iirc Forest and Leeds have xGs way above their actual goals scored, which suggests they are doing something right and with a bit more ruthlessness and/or against opponents like us, they will score and score easily.

We've been shocking all season. A scattering of good performances in an ocean of crap. The players play like they hate eachother and the club. The fans hate the players and the club. And tbph all evidence points to the fact that the club utterly, utterly hates the fans and has been treating us like mugs for years as a result.

Honestly, at this point if I could gaze into a crystal ball and know for certain that relegation will lead to ENIC selling this summer, I'd take that hit. But I can't see that happening, simply because the value of the club will half overnight. So they'll stay on, leeches lurching from awful decision to awful decision, protected by just enough fans who blame everything on the fact that we have lots and lots of money, but not lots and lots and lots like City and United.

They built this forsaken stadium to signify our intent to become a big club, without ever actually stopping to think of a plan to get us there. I am convinced that they thought the stadium alone would solve all the problems and automatically elevate us to the top table. Naive in the extreme. Clueless in fact. And so from the day we moved into the place, every decision we've seen has taken us backwards.
