The Chelski affair was quite nasty and certainly should be ounished, a darn site more than £30k too. I suggest at least a barrel of oil.I wonder if Spurs and Chelsea will have a £30K fine imposed by the FA for their touchline 'handbags' (like ours when we played Sunderland!!) at the end of their game on Monday evening??? I'm not 'holding my breath' on that one!!!!![]()
Just seen this - scary if true!

Were you just on Talksport?! I just heard a caller ring in and make that exact point! I agreed with it, and thought it was a cracking point I hadn't really thought of.Not really to me, it just reflects that our teams are fighting tooth and nail in a competitive league week in week out and it has an effect on English teams abilities to raise there game for a one off fixture.
Being one of only 2 (3 at the moment teams) that compete domestically (The 3 of them are 20pts clear of 4th!) means that they can come into big european ties generally rested and ready knowing that they have rolled over their last and will role over their next domestic oponents because from 4th down their oponents will not really stand a chance of beating them. Maybe a slight exageration as they do get beat occationally by the rest, but these are not hard fought games in general like those experienced in the PL. And with assured European involvement they can take their eye off the ball at home to focus on europe. With 6 (7 with Leicester) teams in the PL having a ligitimate shout at making europe in the PL each season that means that English teams can't. Next season; Manure, Chelski and Liverpoo will all likely miss out on europe. Barca and Real never will!
This is perhaps the reason that the PL is the success that it has become. But also a factor in why european success has been fleeting.
That and their teams are better and they still keep getting the very best players!
Bah!

Be interesting if it happens again tonight. Haven't got a feeling either way of how it will go.
WTF?? I could have sworn we played (and lost, abjectly, in the most recent case) to some of those "teams around us" as in Palace and Sunderland very recently.Alex Neil: "It's an important eight days for us now. We've got to apply pressure onto the teams around us and pick up points."
"We need to maintain our status this year and then push on and become a stable Premier League club."
A bit late for rallying cry type soundbites Alex?

All a bit hollow / shallow saying all this crap now!
