It is absolutely gift wrapped for him to dominate world football at Man City. I never had any doubt it would be Man City he would chose. They have put the work into the sponsorship, renaming the stadium, all the community work, academy. The work behind the scenes has been perfect really.I think in the great argument about which is the best league in the world, it's the record of managers that really show how tough it is - Mourniho's "failure" in La Liga was finishing second, in the PL he left a team nearly in the relegation zone.
Pep's been gifted the best team in the league at every club he's been to. He will probably get that in the PL with Man City, and a virtually limitless transfer budget. But I still think it will be a real test of his skill as a manager because nowhere will the competition be stiffer.
On top of that, the squad they have built is already highly impressive and attack based. He has the pull and the money to bring in some of the best players from around the world.
