But I'm saying that Maddison and Wes create from around the edge of the box, not so much out by the corner flag. So we need (very badly) a striker who thrives on those sort of through balls.
Unless Jarvis can get fit thereby releasing Josh to try a striker's role <whistle>
I have said to my friends and family for a few seasons now. We have Cam, unit, strong, works hard, a target. We have Nelson. A fantast classy gifted striker. He’s like our Aguero. What I keep saying is: we miss a fast striker.!!

Bellamy
Earnshaw
McKenzie
Jackson

We 100% miss that style striker.

Ruddy & Bennett have another good game.

Why are they performing at Wolves when they weren't for us ?

It's incredible how much the clubs faith in AN & Martin has cost us.

I can't believe how much Ruddy has improved since he 'left'; - he either came for or punched every cross on Tuesday, so as to relieve the pressure on his defence - when he played for us, he HARDLY ever came for a cross and our defence mostly allowed our opponents a free header which often resulted in a goal!!!!

Interesting comment from DF in today's EDP re playing a strong team at Arsenal - "City have lost both home league games since a painful extra-time exit to Premier League Arsenal last week, but Farke is unrepentant at picking his strongest side for the Emirates. “In Germany there is a saying, ‘One day you have to die’,” he said. “We wanted a cup run and with a home tie in the next round we could have reached the last four, and then you are not far from Europe.
“If we had won in 90 minutes at Arsenal, and we were pretty close, then I am pretty sure with the confidence we gained we would have taken that into Derby and won that game. I don’t want to give any game away like a present. “When it is a competition, whatever the cup, then it is totally the right decision. Also, even after this 120-minute loss at Arsenal it was still possible to beat Derby. “We don’t need to talk again about the referee or missed chances. If I had the opportunity again I would do the same, 100pc, not play my assistant or the bus driver (at Arsenal).

Can't really argue with that. <ok>

So, wh would have thought we'd see the PL table looking like this with Burnley, Brighton and Huddersfield in the top 10-

I know, I know; there's a long way to go!!!!

Bloody hell! Burnley again!!

Dyche Needs to stay there. He can't lose there, and he's like a god there by now.

Yes Everton is a massive club, but they are soooo unstable. If he goes to Everton, he'll be sacked before the end of the season.

He needs to carry on doing what he's doing at Burnley.

He's a sensible guy, he knows which side his bread is buttered

That club and squad is getting better and better. He'd be insane to leave that. He's one of the safest Managers in football.

I'd rather have him in the England seat, than Southgate. If he maintains Burnley as a top half Premiership side. He'd have a great chance at that.

But is he an ambitious guy? If he is imagine what he could do with the increased spending power at Everton. Leicester proved a well managed, talented together team can still gate crash the party. Dyche might fancy he could do so also. Burnley gave a ceiling, they are at it, Everyone ceiling is likely much higher.
Not to mention, football is very fickle, lose their next 12 games and he could get his p45 and never get another big chance.

Bah!

I hear what you are saying GM but I think he has that magic ingredient called loyalty. I think he will stay with Burnley for a long time

A snippet from today's BBC Football pages on the fortunes of Citeh and WBA -

Best and worst PL record since 1 April 2017 (of ever-present sides)
Team
P W D L F A GD Pts
Man City 20 15 4 1 61 15 46 49
West Brom 20 2 6 12 13 27 -14 12

So in their last 20 games, Citeh have only dropped 11 points - one fewer than WBA have won!! <yikes>

I can't believe West Ham are going to sack Bilic (Not that bit. That needed to happen ages ago. He looks dead inside and his team are a joke. Much like ours) and are looking to appoint Moyes ASAP!?

Moyes!?!

Out of the frying pan....

If they appoint Moyes, I can see them being one of our opponents in the championship next season!!! <yikes>

I loved how Loserpool opened the scoring from a Wet Sham corner - how MANY times has that happened to us???? The trouble is, I can't imagine we'd have 3 players who could run like that, unless JM, AP and Basil were on the pitch together!!!

I'm hopeful that DF MIGHT realise we need different tactics if we're going to stop our goal drought and WHY won't he try Abrahams. JM had hardly played in the Championship until this season and how many MotM awards has he won, not forgetting his GotM for September?????
We don't need CJ playing as an extra midfielder - we have enough of those, what we DO need is a player who can at least force the keeper into making a save when the ball is passed to him practically on the penalty spot!!! <ok>

Like I was saying about Dyche's Burnley yesterday, about how well they are doing. I also love the fact it's such a British side in personal and tactics. Also.......

2 Strikers!! So refreshing to see. I love seeing them play with 2 up top.

Maybe if we passed the ball more quickly and incisively he wouldn't have to retreat so deep to get involved?
But then when he does get decent service on the penalty spot he can't even hit the target?! WTF??
Pathetic - as 2 goals in 15 matches proves.

<applause> Leave Wes on the bench and bring on Abrahams - DF might as well, he's got nothing to lose (or Phillips).

Also, maybe time to give Adam Phillips a try. All reports are very good.
Sorry GE, I forgot about him.
