It seems to me that a few are saying we should buy who we want even if the asking price is far more than they are worth, these are probably the same that are moaning at clubs paying £100M fee and £300K a week in wages. How do you think these inflated fees and wages have happened?
I can't fathom how we bid circa £10m for McCormack, then failed to sign anyone on deadline day because according to Moxey, it all hinged on player sales, i.e Brady who they were expecting would move on for a very sizable fee? Brady was still a city player when the McCormack bids were made so how in hell can that add up? Doomcaster reinvented I hate being lied to as we have been.
Swathes of empty blue seats at the #Madejski stadium. #Reading doing their best to make #Ipsquit feel at home
Grant Ward handles on the edge of the area with 44 minutes gone. McClearly coverts the pen with ease.
Indeed and I remember Whittaker saying as we came towards the end of last season that he expected to be released - then once we get relegated, he's offered a 1 year extension!!!
Reading get another pen with 94 minutes on the clock. Reading convert to win 2 - 1 (all pens!) and go third. 15,146 attendance, to make the binners feel even more at home
Just read the match report on the BBC website and it seems like the only goals scored were as the result of 3 contentious penalties, but both goalkeepers had to make good saves.
Wise words from Maddison, who seems to have a good head on his shoulders for someone so young. https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/f...send-a-message-to-norwich-manager-alex-neil/?
Just the attitude we need relayed to all the squad in line for selection over the next few months and I really hope he does well, as I supported the Dons as a 'wee lad'. All we hope is that he remains injury free during his loan spell and when he comes back, AN actually has him in the match day squad and even has him in the starting 11 occasionally!!! Oops, I've just woken up - sorry!!!
Makes sense to send him out for game time, though. He wouldn't have got much here with Wes, Pritchard and Naismith all ahead of him. Which begs the question - why did we pursue Pritchard so actively rather than a goalscoring striker? Wes, SN and Madisson all vying for that number 10 slot ...so we get a fourth candidate - at the expense of a decent quality CB or striker
