The world has changed and we cannot reverse globalisation.. There were many reasons why i could understand why people voted to leave, but the economy was certainly not one of them.

you got me there at least we can export trains busses cars ect to Africa
We have Free Trade Agreements with just about all the big markets and a new one with UK is neither here or there.

Mind, the result of free trade with China and S Korea means they get our meat and dairy products and we now have two mobile phones each with nobody to talk to.

i heard New Zealanders rub there cocks with pork fat, shag the lambs, then stamp them as halal, heard its worse than the Welsh....<laugh><laugh><laugh>

I live in the real world.. Do you actually believe we can compete on equal terms with the likes of India who don't comply with health and safety and pay a fraction of the wages we do?
This is EXACTLY the problem with the EU. Rather than try and compete (with efficiency, not wages) it has basically set up a protectionist club which has absolutely nothing to do with free trade at all.

I have voted differently to the party I voted for the previous two general elections.

Who else, regardless of which party, is doing the same?

You got the halal bit right. One of our biggest lamb/sheep markets is Saudi and they are exported on the hoof in Arabic Animal Welfare Conditions.

Because we can't compete on equal terms with countries that do not play by the same rules...This is what will be out downfall if we do not get a reasonable trade agreement with the EU..

For me, voting is about a personal philosophy of life, what your natural inclinations are.

That means not being swayed by what you hear, read, or otherwise, every 2, 3 or 5 years.

It's who you are, what you are. Deep down.

The countries you refer to can't trade with us on terms we might like because they can't negotiate deals with us directly, only the EU. If they have an unfair advantage, and they undoubtedly do, we can build that into any trade deal, i.e. put appropriate tariffs on their imports. But the truth is we have absolutely no flexibility at all ATM and are wholly at the mercy of EU directives from Juncker and his chums.

To me it's about voting for what I believe is right, and voting for what policies etc I agree with.

I'm not of the opinion that people should vote for a party because 'our family have always voted for X'

Your comment would suggest to me that you'd always vote for your party, regardless of the situation.
