Off Topic General Election

Thanks W_Y, they are certainly a cowardly bunch not represented by the general electorate. You are not the first to give up, I have had several other PM's saying the same thing. They pretend to want to debate but are desperate to keep this forum as an anti Tory platform. Bunch of tossers.

Let me get this riight...

You are calling me a 'tosser' are you ???

Isn't that the sort of personal abuse you decry?

have you not just a few posts above asked to call in the moderators for abuse??

As you are part of the anti Tory, anti Brexit clique it is understandable that you cannot see the problem. On this forum a small but influential group has limited political views to a narrow banding. No wonder new posters dare not air their views when the clique jump into action against anyone supporting Brexit or the Tories, which according to the votes casted, should be the majority views in the UK.

I am certainly not the only one that has expressed this view, most see the futility of taking on the clique and just leave.
Unfortunately SH. you see everything in black and white, with no shades of grey in between. According to you we are just a homogeneous mass on here - all paid up members of the 'Tosser Party', simply because anyone who doesn't agree with you 100% must be the enemy. If you took the trouble to really debate then you would find out the shades of opinion within our little group. There is nobody on here who agrees with any one political party completely - similarly, there are Tories who want to remain in the EU. just as there is also a left wing case for Brexit. I admit that you are the only Brexiter who posts on here, and that is unusual for a forum such as we have here. But you are wrong as regards to our party allegiances - but the problem is that you will never find out what separates us on here, and also what points of agreement you may have with any individuals on here. There is no 'clique' on here - this is a fantasy on your side, and if there were Frenchie would not be a part of it. We have people on here who have voted for several parties in their time (including the Tories) and I can assure you there is no party in the UK. which represents my values by more than about 10%.

The problem you have with trying to isolate me is the evidence of the previous attacks on 'right of centre' posters and those that have left citing the 'mob' culture of the few dominant anti Brexit / anti Tory posters. The description of 'clique' is not my fantasy, it was eloquently expressed yesterday by w_y. He experienced the abuse dished out for daring to express views not sanctioned by the playground bully boys.

It was a forlorn hope that any new members would join it with political debate. The only thing some of you guys seem to require is massaging your egos.

Nobody is trying to isolate you SH. I am afraid that it is your fantasy on that point which is massaging your own ego. Nobody has any issue with your political ideas - but rather with your manner of arguing, which shows little evidence of wanting to engage in real debate. If you refrain from dishing out insults or trying to belittle everything, and everyone, which does not agree with your own view, then people will start to take you seriously. Once again, you have shown no evidence of reading (or answering) my last posting. As for w_y, I cannot take seriously someone who emerges after about a year, hurls abuse in all directions, and then disappears.

Your dismissive comment about a poster that perviously contributed enormously to this forum clearly shows the non acceptance of opposing views.

Your continued denial of the precious clique echoes the blathering officials at the Watford v Reading game where they convinced themselves that the 'phantom' goal was actually real.

Go ahead and believe your fantasies about persecution and precious cliques - it doesn't interest me any longer. Go ahead and hurl abuse in all directions and then whine when it comes back, I have better ways of occupying my time than to waste it engaging with keyboard warriors whose only gratification is the discord they can sow.

I will ask you a simple question.

Why have all the 'right of centre' contributors given up posting on the political forums, and other threads entirely? There is also an obvious reluctance for new members to participate.

To save you waffling again, the fault clearly lies with the aggressive alliance of the anti Brexit, anti Tory small but dominant clique.

What personal attack? I was merely making an observation and noting a lack of debate or contrary opinions backed up with a raison d'être and thus postulating on your actual ideological position.

Indeed I have tried my hardest not to make it personal: you have rights; your ideas do not, and neither do mine.

I would like to make an observation, that without evidence to the contrary, you come across as a complete plonker.

So, that adds another to the (already long) list of people you have insulted - yet you will still claim yourself as being the victim and whine when anyone reacts in similar fashion. There was a time....long ago, when political threads were a ground for interesting exchanges of opinion....this is long gone, and you are one of the reasons why.

You and the rest of the clique have done your very best to spoil this one.

There is no clique on here SH. Just a figment of your imagination - like a kind of conspiracy theory. Everyone is free to come on here and express their views as long as they do it a) By actually debating their own ideas, and explaining why they think those of others are wrong, and b) Without resorting to insults, snide digs, and use of provocation. If you take the trouble to read over your texts since you have been posting on here then you would have to be blind not to realize that you do not fulfill these conditions. Around 10 people on here have been belittled or insulted by you at some time - they are not all lefties, or members of some secret clique, some have been from the middle of the political spectrum, like Leo and Frenchie. Your form of debating (if you can call it that) creates enemies.....not your opinions themselves. I invited you to debate ie. to actually criticize Corbyn's actual policies - then we would have had a starting point. But nothing has come back - you feel happier attacking him personally, in 'making fun' of him - pretty much the same as with the people on here. Prove that you can actually debate and you may get some respect coming back......otherwise forget it, but don't moan when people react to you.

Several others have called your little group a clique. You still have not answered why right of centre members decide not to post despite being the largest group in the UK.?

So you have just called me a tosser and someone else a plonker.

What is it about you??????
Apparently we are all 'tossers' Yorkie. We are all members of a secret clique - presumably called the 'Tosser Party' - all with our own membership cards, and, apparently, the mods are cast in the same mould. We apparently 'unite' against outsiders to the club - meaning the only one who apparently isn't a 'tosser'. His imagination is working overtime.

Does the 'Tosser Party' in the forum work like Momentum in the Labour Party?

I will take a wild guess at why many have stopped posting on this thread, I think it's because SH's posts have moved from mildly amusing to totally boring and abusive!

Just saying! ;)
