Labour weren't silent on it though, that's another false meme that's been doing the rounds. Kier Starmer said that not only should the individuals that failed to act be punished (several of whom were Labour related), but also the law needs looking at as well.
Simon Danczuk MP (Labour) also criticised the authorities light footedness and highlighted the importance of confronting the issue head on.
So they weren't silent on it, they did interviews in the media, but predictably, those interviews weren't picked up in the MSM. In fact, many MPs on both sides were calling for the PPC to resign, though I don't think he actually did.
It's just another attempt at skewering Labour.
Fair points if correct. I used one example that came to mind, there have been many. Both sides have used underhand tactics. It's how elections work.
I think the vitriol and hatred shown by many of Corbyn's supporters towards Brexit supporters, 'gammon' etc. is worrying if he were to get in power.
