The mind keeps you awake mate, unless you fall into a deep sleep you're just getting poor quality sleep. The best way to get quality sleep is to tire the body and the mind will follow.

There are a lot of people out there who suffer from sleep disorders, I don't profess to have an answer for everybody, only what works for me.

There's millions of supplements from melatonin to magnesium to alcohol to painkillers and Valium to get you off, but unless your body needs to sleep it will fight to stay awake, as you are carrying surplus calories (energy).
very true, my mind is constantly working overtime about the stupidest of things. Work, golf, redundancy, money etc etc.
Just don't seem to be able to flick that switch to turn it off.

That'll be it mate, you're thinking a lot. Have a calorie defecit today, leave out sugary/starchy carbs such as rice, pasta and potatoes and bread, just for today. Try getting calcium late on, cottage cheese is great.

Natural is best mate, the minute you start relying on Chems and stuff you've lost control.

Great advice that! Also about the exercise bit as well. The golf should help.
 
I've already lost over a stone in weight due to exercising and a better diet.
Mainly use the cross trainer, bike and rowing machine, finish off with leg presses and leg curls, can hardly walk by the time I've finished lol.
I go to the gym 3 times a week and burn off about 500 calories a session.
If i do what you two are saying i will look like a white version of Mo Farrah :emoticon-0105-wink:

Hoping for a tip top game of golf tomorrow and 3 points for the lads.

Seated leg curls? Forget that **** pal, you'll be doing more damage than good, probably the worst (along with seated leg extensions) piece of kit in any gym.

If you mean lying leg curls then ignore the above.

I'm putting up the brandy on the table, there will be port and whisky too with wine n beer, God it's going to get messy lol.

Hilda Ogden - one of the last believable characters of Coro St. Have been forced into watching the current bunch of unbelievable ones over the past couple of weeks and can only say that there is no legacy of the past characters in the present lot.
 
Just as I was thinking how ****e Success looks for Watford he gets man of the match, which he celebrates by miscontrolling a gentle pass and falling flat on his backside for the tenth time.

I haven't been paying full attention to be fair but I thought he looked ****. I must have missed something.
 
Look into mate, it cost us thousands thanks to being young and naive and our solicitor being useless.

I think there are only two types, if you are buying a house you want freehold (ideally with hundreds of years on it). Leasehold is normally for upstairs/downstairs flats, check out any other set ups such as communal areas. Do your homework and you will be ok. Text me if you need any more info, I learnt a lot (albeit belatedly) when I got shafted for approx £14k.

I asked my wife after a marathon shopping trip for her, me stood under blow heaters for what seemed like 15 years, as she tried on every piece of clothing within a 40 mile radius... "Can I quickly have a pop in HMV for a look at the Blu Rays?".... "Sure, no problem"...

After 1.3 seconds of looking I was advised that I am something along the lines of 'a useless blind piece of time wasting ****' and that I should immediately hurry up or else my life was about to take a rapid dip in happiness.

When did that happen? I do not remember signing anything that made me her slave, it just sort of happened, subconsciously... how do I fix this?
