very true, my mind is constantly working overtime about the stupidest of things. Work, golf, redundancy, money etc etc.The mind keeps you awake mate, unless you fall into a deep sleep you're just getting poor quality sleep. The best way to get quality sleep is to tire the body and the mind will follow.
There are a lot of people out there who suffer from sleep disorders, I don't profess to have an answer for everybody, only what works for me.
There's millions of supplements from melatonin to magnesium to alcohol to painkillers and Valium to get you off, but unless your body needs to sleep it will fight to stay awake, as you are carrying surplus calories (energy).
Just don't seem to be able to flick that switch to turn it off.
