Worked in Steel for nearly 20 year - Velindre then a brand new Blast Furnace and coke Ovens on Lake Erie and then for a couple of years in Electric Arc and slab caster on Lake Ontario. Without doubt the dirtiest and most polluted was the last one. My wife had a tour and said that it there was hell on earth - the electric arc furnace area was it! It was also the most dangerous!

I used to regularly visit an Electrical Steels in Burlington between 2003 & 2007.

I had 2 years in Velindre till it was shut down.
Transferred to PT BOS Plant for near on 27 years.
Hell on earth is correct.
