I drove up Bishops Avenue last month, perfectly good large houses are being bought and demolished and as you say Nev huge monstrosities have been built. I expect most owned by Middle Eastern or Russians
Absolutely, they buy them for silly money knock them down. There is one there called The White House Worked on one at the top end, very nice. They couldn’t knock it down as it was grade 2 listed.

It's not a film, it's a series on Prime (maybe elsewhere). That's the American remake and it's ****. Watch the original British series (also on Prime), which is so much better. The original series was from a few years ago, so it's not new (the main female lead is a Welsh character!). The premise of the vaccine being engineered and forced on everyone through fear is quite interesting.
