Gedo has just tweeted he has just got his work permit so should be with the squad soon. Anyone know of the first match he would be eligible to play?

mohamed geddo ‏@geddo15
Finally got my work permit...Can't wait for my first training session with the tigers...Thanks to @Mamdouh_Eid #HCAFC #HullCity

I assume the work permit for both Gedo and Fathi should be straight-forward? So Fathi should have his too.

You've got to like these guy's enthusiasm. It's a breath of fresh air after Devious Dudley.

Hopefully they'll both be here Thursday after the Chile v Egypt game in Madrid on Wednesday (assuming they're involved)

Saturday @ Brighton might just be too soon for starting places - expect them both to be on the bench though if not.

i don't think SB will put either of them in the starting line up on Saturday but both should make the bench, i may be totally wrong but i think he will want to find out how fit they are first. I don't think a lot of fans realise they have not been playing league football just the odd friendly and international so there fitness is a big question mark and the difference between friendly s in Egypt and the fast pace of the championship is massive

Doubt they'll be fit enough to start, but if they come through the Egypt match unscathed (think SB is going to Madrid to watch) and look sharp enough, perhaps the gaffer might spring a surprise. I'd expect the same lineup as Saturday, with Hobbs coming in for Faye.

Agreed, but I would expect Bruce to replace Faye in defence. I dont think he need his physicality against Brighton.

It will be ridiculous if Bruce starts in midfield against Brighton, horses for courses it paid off against a rough milwall side, but against a fluent footballing Brighton team we will need technically able footballers in midfield capable of retaining possession. Just because it worked against milwall doesn't mean it will work against Brighton.

I really really really really hope that he is freaking brilliant....at the moment it's a bit like the run up to Christmas as a child, looking at your main presents wrapped under the tree, not knowing if they're going to be mega or a total let down......

Simmo and Prossie up front again with Koren sitting deeper? Or Evans\Cairney in for Faye, with Bruce dropping back?

Hopefully with Gedo coming in, Koren can play his natural "playmaker" position. I feel he excels when he plays right behind two strikers.

I think the Brighton game will be suited to Cairney but I would also like to see Hobbs in the 11. If Bruce or McShane play an international then they may be rested on Saturday

Bruce will only get rested if his legs falling off, which with his track record, could happen.

I always prefer Koren in midfield where I think he ffers us a lot more, but I think I'd stay with Simpson and koren up top and bring Evans in, Corry likes to have a tackle and is good at making interceptions, as I think this is likely to be a possession game a good ball winner could make all the difference.

Both of them now have work permits and will join the squad on Thursday.

I don't expect either of them will feature at Brighton, but you never know.

Despite the various options for spelling their names, their shirts will say Gedo and Fathi.
