So Gattuso gets a four match ban for headbutting a 60 year old coach after the final whistle. Just one game more than for a straight red, which lets face it you can get these days for a slightly mis-timed tackle.

Can't help thinking that our Joey would have got more than that if he'd done it. I'm thinking he would've been tarred and feathered and led through the streets of Haringey (or whatever **** borough of London the spuds play in) and then banned for three consecutive life sentences.

Any advance on that?

Hell if it was a player from any English team, we'd be kicked out of Europe quicker than Blatter can take a bribe

Precisely, I had the exact same thought. Had this been someone such as Barton or indeed any English player then I bet it would be a whole different story!
Also, Gattuso against Joe Jordan... wouldn't be so certain Jordan would win. Gattuso looks like a right nutter as well!

Shot at dawn?

Anyone else find it ironic that the press slaughter Gattuso for being a thug, then talk about how hard Jordan is and how he would beat him up in a fight. Wonder how they know that...

They don't they are just taking a sound bite from the post match interview with Redknapp, he suggested that Jordan would've eaten him for breakfast or words to that effect.

While we're on about Gattuso, can anybody remember one of our lot that was a fan of Gattuso way back in the day? I think he came from Boldon Colliery area. Always had something interesting to say and didn't mince words.

Spot on

I also think that had a Spurs (or any English club's player) committed a foul like Flamini's, they would have got a red card. The fact that he was only shown a yellow is pitiful.
