Why would Hooper do that? If he doesn't join us this window (I highly doubt he will) then it won't be long until he does bugger off to the EPL.

Do you actually read what other people write? Did I say he would stay in the SPL for 10 years? No. I merely made the point that if he did he would score more goals than Boyd.

Your problem is you jump to conclusions and you do it wrongly.

Celtic fans never do that, do they? They just make up conclusions to suit their own ends. But you're basically agreeing that he'll happily **** off back to England rather than staying in the SPL.

Cheeky edit on the your/you're thing as well ;)

Without googling ... A guy called Lambert and that's about it.

Name the last famous Southampton player I've heard of... Le Tissier!

Probabably the same for the Southampton fans tho (re Celtic) - they probabaly only know Hooper (and Larsson)!

Mikel Arteta. He played for Celtic.

I've concluded from this thread that many Southampton fans are ****s not unlike many celtic fans.

Quite possibly one of the gayest topics ever.

He might go to the EPL. He might not. As I said earlier, when he looks back on his career it will be to the things he won at Celtic and not to the endless relegation battles he endured playing for teams like Southampton.

I'd score a hatful of goals in the SPL if I played for the the Old Firm. Sign me up now! Who's sellick got Saturday? St Mirren! Yep, that'd do me Jimmy. What was the score last time we played' em? What's that? 5-0? Aye, pass me my boots.

How hard can it be for Hooper?

Joe Ledley ambition: "**** I'm a good Championship player who would probably be quite good in the Prem, I'm young and improving... **** it, I'll go win trophies now in Scotland"
Antonio Valencia/Gary Cahill/Ashley Young/etc ambition: "**** I'm a good Premiership player. Could cash in and move abroad for megabucks, no point playing for Wigan/Bolton/Villa where I'm never gonna win anything... wait, this is a league where I can show what I can do, I'm gonna keep working really hard to improve my game and make it to a big team"

But your comparing an emerging talent from the Championship with established Premiership players who are also established internationals.

Ledley had offers from Everton & probably the likes of Bolton/Fulham - the usual suspects......all 3 would have offered more money than us, no doubt about it. & its not just about trophies, its about playing infront of 60000 fans, one of the biggest clubs, one of the most supported clubs worldwide & everything that comes with it.

Also its a different pressure playing for a team where not only are you expected to win, but your expected to win by 4 & 5 every week, breeds a winning mentality for a footballer.

Well he's not going to La Liga, is he. Unless he wants to play a couple of rounds of the european cups every year and get a couple of "Better than Rangers" badges, it's EPL.

So Chris Killen couldn't score for Celtic but you could?

Glad the likes of Mikel Arteta and the other Old Firm graduates have gone on to bring that mentality to.... everton.
