The ungratefulness of some who wish to try to wipe out everything Laudrup has done for us is hard to stomach here at times . Bigger fools than Huw and his mate around here on this subject . Authour is from the other forum , a friend of uzis I suspect
....and you and you're Laudrup cronies disrespect for HJ, the board, Monk and anything Swansea other than a dumped Dane is ok is it RJ? PATHETIC
....and the ass gas continues to ooze across the pond. Yes you do yankee, go on, recite your litany, give us an insightful, FACT BASED list if you want, but I doubt we'll see that. I await another spiteful bilious response from the Prince of Bull.
The anti-Laudrup sentiment is par for the course, breezy. It is merely a continuation of the bitterness and hatred still shown towards Martinez and Rodgers. Football fans' simply have to hate - someone, anyone. When Monk goes,he will doubtless come in for the same kind of treatment.
Huw and the board f**ked up majorily , you can give them a blank cheque on there decisions stumpy , you remind me of the old Leeds fans marching together .... over a cliff .
Can someone tell me where the board messed up as last time I checked we were closer to the relegation zone under Laudrup than we are under Monk, therefore they made the correct decision. Any comment about squad returning which would have led to results improving under ML are speculative at best. The board made the decision to replace the manager when we were in a relegation scrap and the new manager has kept us up, thus they made the correct decision.
If Laudrup stayed we would be farther along in the Premier with a good chance of still being in at least one Cup.Move to the right in columns of 3 , wrong turn , quick march ...you lead them stumpy .
I like the way everyone gives credit to Monk , who did nothing in the building of this very good team , and none to Laudrup who actually built it .Like Vetch says , it a continuation of discredit to good managers like Martinez from ungrateful fans
Bit of a leap there Libertarian, and, imho, condescending and incorrect. The bile and hate apparent here appears to be aimed at Monk and or the board. Others are responding to the unsubstantiated abuse aimed at them and therefor our club. No one can say anything good about the board, Monk, our survival, next season, without a splatter ball of abuse and bile from a chosen few, who do appear to be in the Laudrup camp. I have asked for facts, even deductive reasoning, but all that emanates is more bile and abuse. Currently no one can congratulate Monk for successfully fulfilling his remit of keeping us up, without receiving abuse. No one can congratulate the players for keeping us up without an in depth attack on Monk for not playing Pazuello, Canas, Michu, or the board being blamed for Ki playing for Sunderland. They played no part in our survival, so why bring them up. Pozuallo, initially promising but ultimately disappointing, Canas, initially promising but ultimately lightweight and fourth in a list including Britton, Shelvey, De Guzman. Michu, absent, petulant, pointless all season, Ki, bench at best, so what is the point being made regarding them. That Monk picked the best team to get us through an incredibly stressful and difficult time, that's what I think. Instead of gloating over Cardiffs demise, instead of debating about summer signings, instead of being happy to be where we are, instead of looking forward to next season, our 4th in the best league in the world by the way, some appear to prefer to forget and paint is a bleak, Russian-esque landscape of impending failure and depression. Some, it would seem, don't want any of us to feel good about our club. I do, next season Prem football again and I feel good about that. What I think about Laudrup is this..........nothing, same about Martinez, same about Rodgers. Once they were here, now they're gone. We moved on before and its time to move on now and definitely time to look forward to our continued odyssey in the premiership, I am, I happy.
I fail to see where jinx and the board messed up myself, It was jinx who prolonged laudrups stay trying to work with him but as we all have seen laudrup thought he was bigger than the club and would not listen, Jinx gave laudrup more than enough chances to conform to the philosophy of the club that he signed a contract to do and he ignored ...he had to go for the sake of the club......remember when we were looking for a manager jinx said we will only get someone who will fit into the way we do things and laudrup knew very well what Swansea was all about and he signed a contract that says that. he broke his contract and was warned but to no avail and that is why laudrup was sacked....
We will never know if your opinion is correct. What we do know is that we will be in the PL next season - and that is the most important thing.
Its the not knowing that consumes me , Monk and Huw took their shot at a test drive at Laudrups team and failed, that I know . Anyone could have led this healthy team to another season in the Premier after Laudrup was sacked , watching some give credit to Monk and Huw and none to Laudrup is just the biggest f**kin laugh . We wont be laughing come fall , and I hope Im dead wrong.
Can you explain how they failed when they have kept us up with back to back wins for the first time in 17 months? Laudrup deserves credit for his season up until the cup and some one off performances this season, and that's it.
Well, since I'm not in either camp, perhaps I can look at the situation a bit more dispassionately than most. The dismissal of Laudrup seemed almost inevitable, and I could see why it happened. What I couldn't understand, however, was the manner of his dismissal. It stank of appalling behaviour by the powers that be,and the smell still permeates the air. Laudrup has more class than the entire Board of Swansea City put together, and that was reinforced by their contemptuous treatment of him. With regards the temporary promotion of Garry Monk, well,he has achieved the first task, but the jury is surely still out with regards a permanent appointment. Do I support Monk, yes,of course,in as much as he is currently in charge of team affairs. There has been much speculation regarding his input into the Laudrup sacking, but since no hard evidence has been produced,it is merely conjecture, and I treat it as such. A great deal of hostility exists on this Forum, and only the individuals themselves can explain just why they feel so angry. Laudrup achieved a lot while he was here, and people need to be mindful of that. He is a great man,and Monk certainly has a big job at hand to fill his boots. The way some supporters hang on to their bile and hatred towards ex managers, and some ex players,is immature and totally unjustified, and quite frankly, embarrassing.
"Laudrup was five minute wonder". As foolish a comment as you will ever encounter on this,or any other, forum.
