Oh for **** sake. Yes, they might not have "played them off the park" but they were undoubtedly the better side over the two legs.
To quote yourself. "Doesn't matter, fact is, they won it".
and they did it by bringing on a substitute. Something Man United couldn't deal with.
Is this you?

Name the part in my post where I said they would win the Bundesliga or BBVA? Yes pure ignorance indeed.Pure ignorance
The difference between the 3rd/4th placed teams in England and the 3rd/4th placed teams in Spain and Germany is the amount of money they get.
Athletico Madrid, Valencia, Malaga, Bayer, Schalke ect.
They don't have nearly as much money as Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea and the like.
By your logic, Spurs could go Spain and win Liga BBVA, ahead of Athletico, Barca and Madrid or to Germany and win the Bundesliga ahead of Dortmund, Bayern and Schalke? Absolutely no chance.
Sorry, but I disagree.
I think (based on current squads/managers) only Man United with Fergie could go and even challenge.

**** thread.
German football is way over-rated just because it's become cool recently.
The best teams in the world at the moment are the Spanish big two and probably United too, but the other big English sides will be back soon. Man City just seem to get a ridiculous group draw every season just because they don't have history in the CL.
Bayern just kick the **** out of everyone and apparently that's better to watch than the 'boring' football that the real quality sides play. Dortmund are likeable and of course very good, but they'll lose their better players because they simply can't compete financially with the bigger clubs in England and Spain, or Bayern closer to home.
This time last year everyone was ****ing about the revolution in German football and how much better they are than everyone else, then when Bayern failed to beat Chelsea because their ugly tactics don't work on a team that has Drogba in it, everyone started going on about how Germany would definitely win the Euros and England were **** cos we lost to Italy on pens, then oh wait, Italy hammer Germany in normal time![]()
The thread was initially about Gareth Bale!**** thread.
