City's position is not that close. Theirs is really done and dusted. 3rd.

We are favourite for 4th as should we beat West Ham as expected we are done and dusted as there is no way that Boro could take points off us in the last day barring some catastrophe.4th.

Arsenal then 5th with the mancs at 6th.

We cannot score penalty when it matters, can we beat West Ham when it matters?. One dollar question:laugh:.

I don't get why people look and worry about other teams. If it wasn't in our hands I'd understand it but it is in our hands. I don't want others to gift us anything, we should be earning the right ourselves!

No one is talking about us having most points against the top six side. Funny old world,

so our ideal is 6 points for us, city lose one, utd and arsenal cry in thier tea cups.

If arsneal and utd would just do us a favour and draw thie rgames this weekend it will get a LOT easier.

but just go win 2 games.

It is really simple...

Get six points and we get top four.

Get less than six (no, I don't mean five) and we probably don't get top four.

Moral of the story; win our ****ing games!

PS... thy are Man Utd ruling themselves out so much? Sure they've got tough matches and need others to mess up but you don't give up until it's impossible. Is Mourinho really installing a defeatist attitude or is it mind games?

The mancs were never a threat although they are still lurking around. Everyone even Mourinho I suspect would have thought after their Chelsea match weeks ago they would have been so far behind that they would just focus on their Europa matches. With their suspensions and injuries they were always going to drop the league.

It wouldn't surprise me if they now rest their key players in their last matches. They'll play Degea and Bailly but rest the likes of Rashford blind Valencia etc.

If the manc had lost last night they would all be on saying the will easily win their game while lfc will **** up.

Now?

They think they have it won.

Spurs v utd.... who knows really. I think mourinho might play the resting lads excuse card here... its like he knows utd have drawn far too many and are going to fail so better have the excuse and say he didnt care than admit he failed.

As usual,Mourinho may have to blame officials.Spurs may bottle it if Chelsea wins tonight.

Yes i agree. Spurs knowing the title is gone after tonight could herald an implosion and i would also expect mourinhos scum attitude to send players out to wind up wanyama and alli to get rhem sent off.

Thinking on this... it seems quite obvious that spurs cannot be caught for 2nd by anyone as one win in 3 or even 2 draws makes it theirs.

They might very well bevin a bad frame of mind. Its a real test of poch and his team. They need to react positively to losing league by winning. If thry blow up it will lead to bottle charges.

But.. who knows maybe chelsea will only draw...

We have left it late. Not yet a disaster if we can do it the hard way.
You are not saying?

How we are still unsure of our position is still beyond me. Since February we have had the easiest matches relative to our rivals. Yet here we are, 2 matches from the end and still not secure.

I read that Klopp said in the papers that we are very close to Chelsea as the best team. Yet we are struggling to get 4th.

Yeah the reality is the draw v bournemouth was unforgivable and the loss to palace from lead too.

Thats 3 points absolutely thrown away and why a lot of us are thinking draw v west ham might be our best possible result so hope arsenal and utd draw this weekend

Arsenal playing before us on Saturday is a huge psychological advantage for them I think. They'll be more focused on the job and less pressure than if they knew that they could catch up after we dropped points.

By the time we play West Ham we will know exactly where we stand. Arsenal win we will be under pressure to get a win. A draw for us could let them in. And let's not beat about the bush, missing the CL from where we have been almost the whole season, would be a collapse and a significant failure. No Europe, no cup runs and therefore no excuse.
