Future Vice Captain?

He was ****ing **** last night.

 

I still think Can personally.

He may be young, but he's a tank of a man already. I don't get the argument about age - if he has the natural leadership qualities then he can develop into a great captain, potentially giving us a captain for many years to come, which is surely a good thing?

He can play in many different positions to a high standard, and according to BR and CP he is a phenomenal trainer. Being made captain or vice captain will do his confidence the world of good.

Plus I liked the fact that when all that penalty mishap was going on, he was the first to congratulate Balotelli, and I also saw him have a word with Sturridge about it after Balotelli scored - I'm assuming this was to avoid any rift between the two players, by trying to be the peace keeper.

Neymadge would be quality for us. Suarez as been poor for them most of the season too but he was the stand out player of the season in England last year.

 

TBH, I don't really care about the captaincy any more. We need leaders all over the pitch, not just the guy with a armband on. I'm more concerned about addressing our shortage of CBs, CMs and goalscorers. We're also in desperate need of a dead ball specialist too.

the armband for me has become almost beckhamlike for us.

What i mean by that is jordan henderson has for some reason become the defacto corner, pen and free kick taker having assumed the mantle.

It is almost like gerrard has set the tone from looking at beckham back when he was young and now WE are being forced to see another midfielder think captain = does it all himself

(not saying gerrard couldnt strike a great ball nor that he didn't allow suarez take frees either)

I'd like a big thick CB as captain just to break this.
