He may be young, but he's a tank of a man already. I don't get the argument about age - if he has the natural leadership qualities then he can develop into a great captain, potentially giving us a captain for many years to come, which is surely a good thing?
He can play in many different positions to a high standard, and according to BR and CP he is a phenomenal trainer. Being made captain or vice captain will do his confidence the world of good.
Plus I liked the fact that when all that penalty mishap was going on, he was the first to congratulate Balotelli, and I also saw him have a word with Sturridge about it after Balotelli scored - I'm assuming this was to avoid any rift between the two players, by trying to be the peace keeper.
