I think 3 years is right. We are back to the level of the season when Howe managed to avoid us from relegation. At the end of the season, we had a sprinkling of good players and lots of dead wood (sound familiar). What we dont have this time round is good feeling around the club and a united fan base. This summer is going to have to be great recruitment and Howe is going to have to get off to a fast start to counter the bad feeling around the club.So Munson's decided next season's a write off for us and Sunderland are going to win the Europa League, Awaymag has decided we've been set back 3 years, and Roly as usual is indulging in his endless black abyss of misery.
Oh no we had a disappointing season after the best one in my lifetime, doom and despair must clearly follow!
Personally I dont think either will happen and Howe will be fighting a losing battle. PIF should have sacked Howe last night and announced a new manager today as they should have made the decision in advance. That would have drawn a line under last season and reset the fan base. IMHO.
