Totally agree with you and, yes, that is what they said in the studio. My point was, if another ref: looked at the incident closely (there was a gentle push) and agreed that is enough to rule a goal out, how could a ref (albeit, maybe a different one) look closely at the Kane goal and say the blatant push in the back wasn't enough to disallow a goal? As I said, that just becomes BS. Very frustrating as a Leeds fan in particular because that means they assign two bent ref's to all of our games <whistle>

Otherwise, I actually thought the ref last night was decent :emoticon-0148-yes:

Think that’s the problem with VAR, thought the ref did well Tuesday night, other than for the Rutter decision. In truth it was a push, and Wilson did a horrendous flying swan act, which I think persuaded the ref. Probably a large percentage of refs would have allowed it to stand. That the problem with this subjective bollocks.

On the Kane foul on Meslier, when they reviewed it on Sky’s Ref watch, Dermot Gallagher (who I know is disliked on here, by some), said he was amazed the Spurs goal was allowed to stand. But as he’s at pains to point out every week, unlike offside, this is a subjective call, and refs have different tolerances for challenges/yellow and red cards. I think we see that from game to game.

Thought Firpo’s improving (he needed to). Have serious doubts about Aaronson/Mckennie and Kristenson. Think Rutter will improve as his fitness and physicality gets better, though we may have to wait till next season for the latter. Bamford has been poor since the first season in the PL. Hopefully he’ll find his form soon, though hopefully Rodrigo will come straight in, when fit.

Can see their point too. Lowering the tone
Bollox, the whole point of an early house was for the dockers, builders, painters etc etc. :( Its a form of discrimination.<grr> Anyway I had the last laugh, OLOF was knackered after we walked to the other early house. Even with my little legs.<laugh>

Hello all. Mad busy week with St Paddy day parades creating a busy workload. Good to see different tactics Saturday and result of us having a couple of shots on goal from edge of penalty area. Ok Paddy’s was a deflection but he still had a go. Hope it gives them the confidence to keep trying. I think the passing it about on the edge of the box has been down to lack of confidence rather than a coaching Thing. Special word of congrats to Meslier who kept us in the game at 2-1 with a couple of quality blocks
