In the studio, they all agreed it was soft and it was going to go with the way the ref saw it. If it had been given as a goal it would have stood. I’d actually prefer VAR to only view and act on blatantly wrong decisions, a bit like umpires call in cricket

There was VAR as Shako says - it wasn't in our previous FA Cup Games because non PL teams are not set up for it (obviously both games were away because of the Hot Ball they put in the draw with the Leeds number on it). The difference last night (which I actually think is a positive) is the checks were completed very quickly during play :emoticon-0148-yes:

Totally agree with you and, yes, that is what they said in the studio. My point was, if another ref: looked at the incident closely (there was a gentle push) and agreed that is enough to rule a goal out, how could a ref (albeit, maybe a different one) look closely at the Kane goal and say the blatant push in the back wasn't enough to disallow a goal? As I said, that just becomes BS. Very frustrating as a Leeds fan in particular because that means they assign two bent ref's to all of our games <whistle>

Otherwise, I actually thought the ref last night was decent :emoticon-0148-yes:

Two in my opinion. If the contact was enough to disallow our goal, then the contact on Bamford was enough for a penalty

think they were placating beckford a bit <laugh>

I thought it was a foul - when you’re going up for a header it doesn’t take much of a push to send you flying. The foul on mes at spurs was as stonewall as stonewall gets though. At Brentford they get a soft one that took 5 minutes to decide. Then Summerville gets shirt pulled and hacked down and we don’t get it. Then they reverse an offside with no clear evidence.

Bizarre season… no luck from refs, defender howlers, strikers can’t hit a barn door, opposing teams hitting worldies or scoring with their only chances.

Anything that can go wrong has gone wrong.
