Bowen - Dangerous every time he got the ball
De Wijs - Best CH outside the Premiership
Elder - Getting better every game.

Best team performance of the season. Outstanding defense.

Loads of good performances including the ever menacing Bowen but my major memory is Fulham looking constantly powerless in our third. So it has to be defenders.

De Wijs
Elder
Burke

Not sure about that last bit .... but he had a great game yesterday. No spectacular saves this time but his positioning and handling was near faultless. Countless times he was in exactly the right place to deal with their numerous crosses, high and low. The sort of performance that wins games but flies under the radar unnoticed.

I think its more than fair to say that our defence has finally come together - Long is excellent - Elder is a vast improvement on Kingsley and Fleming - De Wijs used to have one or two mistakes per game in him - not any more - and both Burke and yeehaa are very reliable too - no injuries please !!

I was quite critical of him earlier in the season. Yesterday - in difficult conditions - his handling and positioning were top notch.

I should have read this comment first -- I said virtually the same thing later in the thread.
