What a great pity for him, certainly one of my favourite City players. Certainly wish him success in whatever he does next, good luck Matt, you will be forever a City legend, if only for the goal you score in the semi final that turned the game for us.
Think Forest were 18 months unbeaten at home when we played them. They were dominant but couldn't break down Big Nige's solid wall. Chances were few and far between, and Matty Fryatt was usually marked by 2 of em inc. the world's greatest defender Wes Morgan. James Chester's ball is deflected wide for Matty who still has plenty to do (Morgan can be seen lumbering back top of picture). Matty dribbles, dummies, then deftly rolls it beyond the keeper, the coolest man on the field. A goal expertly executed by a consummate goalscorer. Self-confessed Massive club humbled on their own midden by Matty Fryatt. How much do we need a player like him now?
Not at all, but there are obvious highlights ion certain TV stations, scouting reports in newspapers, and if I remember rightly I did see him play live a couple of times. http://www.skysports.com/football/hull-city-vs-walsall/55072

That's very sad. Excellent player, with a great attitude, and apparently a very nice guy. Good luck with whatever's next, Matty.
Good to hear City sing his praises at Forest today. Don't think it impressed their fans as they seem to begrudge his wages while injured.
