****ing ridiculous.

Not you, that idea of making him boo boy. It certainly should not be him.

****ing stupid more like anyone that boo any of our players want stripping of their season ticket and a lifetime ban from the KC. Whilst a player is wearing a city shirt they should not be bood.

Currently see it as
Mcgregor
Chester Davies Figueroa
Elmo Brady

Meyler Quinn
aluko
Graham Sagbo

however not that I'm having a go at Quinn I think he will be a very important player for us this season but he could be the one to drop out should we get the midfielder we want.

I see it played 3-5-2

McGregor

Chester Davies Figueroa

Elmo Quinn Meyler Koren Brady

Aluko Graham

I think this is pretty close except it won't be Koren.

Fettis - I can't see us playing a front two with Aluko in behind. That'd be extremely attacking.

best form of defense is attack , the more attacking we are and causing teams to go on the back foot the more successful we will be , the thing is would aluko not start ? Would graham not start ? Would sagbo not start ?

Good point but I can't see it. Not many managers of promoted teams are brave enough to do that. I'm not sure who you'd leave out from that three mind.

Yeah I remember that well, it's never been done since though by a club in our position. And there was a difference. We had no wingers around that time so we played a 4-3-1-2 and it suited the players we had. We still had the 3 midfield players which is what most managers seem to want nowadays. In Fettis' proposed team we'd have 2 midfielders just on their own and three forwards. I can't see it. It would be exciting though.

True, I dont imagine SB would ever play with a forward three leaving 2 in midfield.

I would like to see Cairney get a run out. He impressed in our last PL outing running rings around the likes of Lampard and you dont just lose that. Clearly Bruce sees something in him or he would be in the same situation as McLean and Stewart seeing as he rarely played last season.

How on earth will Quinn get bullied in the premier league when in a much more physical league like the championship he was more than capable of holding his own physically.

Judging on what we already have
4-4-2
GK Mcgregor
RB Rosenior CB Chester CB Davies LB Figueroa
RM Elmohamady CM Meyler CM Quinn LM Brady
ST Aluko ST Graham

In my opinion Sagbo will be lethal coming off the bench.

3-5-2

I'd be all over this if we had say Bridcutt and Palacios as our 2 CM's. You'll need 2 very tough players to break things up in the middle of the park, but on paper that looks great going forward.

Erik i agree with you, a quinn and meyler midfield would be ****e. As much as we needed a goalscorer we also need 2 centre mids.

Quinns to lightweight and slow, will get bullied and outplayed
Meyler, not sure what he is but isnt good enough thats why he couldnt get in a sunderland team

Exactly! This man knows the truth, ladies.

He and Meyler are our two best central midfielders. Unless we buy two more, they'll both be first choice

We should buy two more then. Hopefully not Cattermole and Palacios, as one's just plain ****e and the other's been off the boil for a couple of years (understandably so, might I add)

Once again Mr Erik you provide us with your doom and gloom negativity. While I respect you are entitled to your views your posts are the most depressing on the forum. Even when you give praise its always followed by more negativity. None of the players will ever live up to your standards of perfection. Yes some of them will fail or be poor but the squad is built on a solid team ethos and with one or two additions I believe Steve Bruce has got the balance about right. This team is far better equipped for a positive future than you give them credit for. Be brave believe in the players and you never know you may be plesently supprised and provide us with some uplifting posts for a change

We might have a good future if we keep our decent players after relegation and bounce straight back up again. I'm only talking negatively about the immediate future, and we'll be relegated this year. Mark my words.

I think Brucey's going for the 352 but will have to change it when we keep getting our arses kicked.

Rubbish ^^^ this. As for getting our arses kicked - this is what people like you said 5 years ago. This squad is much better.

As for Mr Erik(post 57), ignore as he is dead in the head. FACT.

Even average Championship sides exposed the formation last season. Do you really think it'll get us anything against some of the best teams in the world, like the Manchester clubs and Chelsea?

I dont care about those games. We are expected to lose them. They are a free hit full stop.

It is the games against the bottom 12 teams that will make or break our season.

Yes i do expect us to do well playing 3-5-2 and it can also very quickly be changed into a 442 or 433 as required.
