RVP said he wanted to see ambition - so we signed Podolski, Giroud and Cazorla to support him.
RVP said he wanted to 'return the club to their glory day' - and he demanded a transfer.

He could have been an Arsenal legend.

Now he'll just be remembered as a one season wonder who shafted his club for the money

what a c--t, what a serious c--t, i can't believe he has left us for United.

having said that, i am going to even be more fired up to get behind the team on Saturday, **** OFF RVP.

Or....

maybe him leaving will mean you dont rely on him and spread the goals giving you more balance.

remember when we got rid of RVN?

Gotta be honest with you guys here....completely agree with you. I can't believe he left to join the scum, that is just something that isn't even an option. What twat at arsenal sold him to them. I'm pissed as a liverpool fan, you lot must be worse. Absolute traitor to the game.

**** off will you kagawa, stupid manc, i hate your club, and it's on this season, i hope we destroy you. i hope this gives our team the fire and passion to get at you.

Yep, you make a lot of sense. Our whole system was built around him, just need to switch it a bit and we'll be fine. That's not to say he won't be awesome at Man U though!

Cannot believe wenger let it get a point where he only had one year left so pretty much had to sell to united who know doubt offered the most. I'm Sorry but wenger is has had a shocker. Yet another top player leaves. Like torres for us.

It was coming so lets just embrace the decision and move on. He didn't want to stay so he left us no choice. It's good business sense to sell him now and to be honest anyone who believes anything the modern day footballer says is a bit naive. Good luck RVP. As they say inshow business break a leg!

Feel your pain btw. Not pleasant. Now you see why we loathe torres. I'll never forget that **** lying and shafting us when we needed him most.

Yeah, but in this case literally.

AW knew.
When a player won't sign a new contract it's because he doesn't want to be there so the best thing to do is get the cancer out of the dressing room, and that's what RVPs presence would have been had he not been sold, a cancer.
So whilst many will look at us as selling our best players again, sadly the selfishness and greed of individual players has forced our hand.
RVP will now become a hate figure but that won't bother him, he couldn't give two ****s whether he is remembered as a legend or not at Arsenal, what he has achieved is a massive pay rise and increased his chances of winning some silverware.
Why we ever listen to the hollow words/lies players come up with is beyond me, loyalty is not a word in their language.
At least now come Saturday we can get behind what I think is an improved team without the distractions his presence would have created
