Kingfisher sold here in NY brewed in England.

Also recently delisted by NB Liquor Corp, and yesterday someone pipped me to the post (by an hour apparently according to the guy in the beer section), those two remaining bottles of Fuller's Vintage Ale (2016) that I went there to grab.

It seems like you have a good facsimile of living in Poland pre 1989 Kilburn.

It still mystifies me why a state thinks that sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages is a part of it role, but I assume they get a handy profit out of it. I hope your taxes are lowered in compensation.

Now into the marijuana business, announced yesterday:-

New Crown corporation to oversee recreational pot sales in province
Province also lines up 2 suppliers for when marijuana becomes legal next July

The New Brunswick government says it has formed a new Crown corporation to oversee the sale of recreational marijuana.

Two cannabis producers, Organigram and Canopy Growth, have signed agreements to be suppliers, the province announced Friday.

'If we reflect for a second, we have all these reporters and cameras here to talk about one of the biggest drug deals in Canadian history.'
- Mark Zekulin, president of Canopy Growth

Finance Minister Cathy Rogers said the government chose a Crown corporation model so it would have clear oversight of how recreational pot will be sold........

Bit late but... being a homebrewer I had a smoked stout (6.5%), an imperial stout (secondarily fermented with oranges) (10.4%) and a Fuller's Past Masters Old Ale 1905 which went on sale here in Sweden last week.

I bottled an imperial stout with plums (from our tree in the garden) this morning. I might give it a first taste next Saturday.

The Fuller's Vintage ale (mentioned previously) is worth cellaring. I have a few from 2016 and one from 2015 and 2014. The 2010 edition sells at about 100 quid a bottle!

So if I could find it, this is not a bad price for the 2016 edition, around 4 quid - if not I'll have to wait until 2017:-
  • Fullers Vintage Ale 2016 500ml
  • UPC #5011885012250
  • Beer-Specialty
  • Retail Price: C$6.83

Hope you are eating that durian a long way from innocent bystanders Jock.

It was just a fresh ripe Mong Tong kept in the fridge once sliced open. The most beautiful fruit I've ever tasted. But you are right, leave it out in the corner of an outdoor bar for a few hours, and the stink would clear the place.

Sorry missed this thread due to drinking Budver on tap. So tonight I will be drinking Gin (with a wild berry infusion...Tescos £18) and Tonic...to take away the embarassment of our Boro defeat (typed at 2.40pm)

Having dropped the lad at University earlier(totally counter-intuitive to just drive away and leave him there alone!!) I am going to drink as many bottles of wine as I can, starting with a nice Chilean Merlot.

Good luck to him Col, he'll have a ball. I've been practicing separation with my daughter by packing her off to India then a couple of festivals this summer. India was great as she couldn't even text for most of the time, which is what I suspect it will be like when she's gone, given my experience with the boy, who we see about once every ten days despite him living 200 yards away.

The invention of the mobile phone is actually hell for parents, before we had them there was no expectation of keeping tabs on your kids.
