Just watched tonight's BBC 4 documentary about our "King Billy" Fury...good stuff it was... ...well **** me...found this duet with t'other King on youtube...never knew it existed ! ( it's rigged naturally...but still !)
Another great documentary of BBC 4 tonight reminded me... Songs by Henry VIII for 2 of his queens... Ms Boleyn's... Catherine of Aragon's... ...tough luck Annie lass... ...NEXT ! EDIT: Historical note: Cathy's Clown was the first song to be available(1960) on Teledisc...an innovation by the independent Hull Telephone Department where for tuppence you could get to listen to a different hit song (changed weekly) in the local telephone booths. I remember the phonebooth outside Hessle reccer (oposite Darley's on Boothferry Road) used to get line ups of teenaged kids waiting for a turn...I think the recording was on a loop so for 2d the whole line could hear the song. Not long after that we discovered (or someone told us) how to use the phone for free by tapping out the phone number. Brilliant. Nowt to do with the Allams mind.
