Ken Loach stuff is great. I made "Kes" a compulsory part of my kids and grandkids education in life.
Kes was brilliant, poor little Billy Casper.
His brother was a right **** & Brian Glover as the PE teacher - what a twat.
Colin Welland took a great part in that.
I love a good kitchen sink drama.

Brian Glover "the balding but still brilliant" centre forward done up in his ManU kit still cracks me up.

Apologies if I'm mistaken but isn't it just a bloke who can't get a job and some bird who can't get a job?

I mean I'm sure whatever it is, is done very well, but some films really don't need to be on 'The big screen'.

But it's 'poignant' or 'powerful'. Two words I dislike when describing a film. ****ing snooze fest more like it. I want to be entertained. Probably a bit shallow of me.

Not one for me. Each to their own and all that though.

I'm in the mood for films like that maybe once a month but when I am I appreciate a bit of grim British close to the bone drama. I can live without it too, life's depressing enough without turning to entertainment for additional depression.

Have you seen Tyrannosaur, if you appreciate a grim British film then this is for you. The acting in it is simply outstanding, but I warn you I had to watch a comedy afterwards to lighten the mood. It is very, very dark film.

G4S security job centre bastards are a bunch of ****ing spineless, cowardly bastards.
Not a ****ing single one of them I've met has a backbone.
They're **** at their jobs but very good at bullying folk.
G4S, I hope you all die of AIDS.
Plus, they are pig ignorant spanners.

I used to rob them blind, before they were known as G4S, on contract work.

Is it at the cinema now, that review you put on Washy looks amazing and Kermode isn’t often left lost for words. It’s a must then for me.
Yes it's in a number of cinemas just now. It does not have a blanket coverage but it's on at Bolton and at the Tyneside as well.

No it's about a guy who is to ill to work the GP won't sign him off so he can not work but the job centre say he is fit to work so stop his payments he then has to seek work while I'll to get JSA but when he says is is to ill to work his JSA is stopped as well. The woman has been forced to move out of London, where her family lives so has no local suppport networks. By forced she had the choice to be in a homeless hostel after complaining to her landlord that having fungus growing out of the walls of her flat was something he should really address.

Sounds like a deep and meaningful snoozefest. Glad you liked it so much, I'd rather watch cat Gifs.
