    Starkey <laugh>

and I know - top trainer <ok> - SPACESHIP in the 4.00 is the most interesting runner today imo - will leave it alone though first time out.

Ekbalco- I have backed that one a few times and really like his chances tomorrow <ok>

Good old Franny Norton <ok> - he should win the first on Becky Lou

Really fancy Galician in the 3.05 - should run a massive race- the rest looks too hard <laugh>

RV what do you make of Andy Carroll going to West Ham on loan? Even more surprising is Jordan Rhodes going to Blackburn <laugh> they'll be cutting the wage bill double quick when they fail to get back up to the Premier League this season

Good thoughts RV - I've already picked Galician e/w ... thought about TEAK as a win bet ...Why would Becky Lou beat the bottom weight ? BL is 3lbs better off for a length beating ... but I guess sh'es drawn 1 with the maestro on board .. but at 11/8 is she any value against Sorelle belle at 5's ?.. and what about White Coppice - saw her last run here and the penny dropped in the last furlong ... as you say - a tough day looms for me .. but at least the sun is forecast and the beer will be flowing ...

3.25 Sandown ETIJAAH 9/1 - Got a little bit outpaced when running green at the half way mark on debut (same race as RANGI- finished just 1L behind that one who reopposes today at much shorter odds) and ran nicely under a hands and heels ride. Not sure we can read too much into it but he did race closer to the near side that day when the eyecatchers were all middle so maybe there is a point to say there was an extra length or two to come. Regardless, I thought it was a typically well-shaping Brian Meehan colt who would improve an absolute tonne for its next run. Will relish the stiff Sandown track and with the champ on board has a fantastic opportunity to go close at very nice odds.

The other maiden is slightly more guesswork but I have a strong suspicion that SPACE SHIP would be a smart John Gosden horse- entered up in the RP Trophy and Derby and bred like a classic horse. That said though, I like a reverse forecast between this horse and ESTIFZAAZ who will improve for its debut, has a little bit more precocity in its pedigree and therefore might just have a bit more on the day with Space Ship shaping very well in behind. Ran nicely in what looked a really nice Newmarket maiden last time and will go close.

Odddy - I wanted him back home mate so gutted. He will do a job for them and Nolan is one of his best pals so I had a feeling he would go there. Liverpool were never going to loan him to Newcastle and Ashley wouldn't splash out the transfer fee to bring him back.

I rate Jordan Rhodes mate- think he is a quality player and will defs do a job in the championship. The fee was ridiculous though - 8m ? <yikes>

Swanny <rofl> he has gone mental

Ekbalco - I think the softer ground will be in her favour. She also got stopped a little bit towards the finish when closing at Doncaster last time out. Her 6th in the Albany is decent form.

Ref the 5.25 Thirsk, Danny rode Ingleby Angel to win last Sat night, why is he not riding it today? I believe he will have chose to ride this horse of Easterby's (Saffa Hill) as he has only ever rode 13 times for him, and Tom Eaves has only rode 12 times for O'meara who Danny rides regularly for!!!!! Also Ingleby is stepping up from 6f to 1m, and Saffa Hill is dropping from 1m 4f to a mile!!!! Maybe I'm wrong and way off the mark but my money is on Danny e/w at 8's. Good luck

<cracker> ETIJAAH <cracker> The champ at his very best there and the stiff finish played right up its street. Delighted with that morning price!

    Cheers RV.

Day off from work today so had me a couple of quid on the Sandown maidens as they looked interesting races. Nothing else stood out as of yet. Anything for yourself?

Lovely run from Spaceship in 4th - that is why I wasn't going to bother at first though. Don't like backing them on debut. He will be a nice horse.

Cocktail Charlie now a non runner but i have another fancy going in the last at Thirsk

    Thirsk 5.25
    Saffa Hill 15-2

This horse is dropping back in trip from he's last run when sent off Fav, if he gets a strong pace and with the soft ground he will be staying on when others are dropping away.

I guess that's tongue in cheek, 24-months? Bayern's excellent (for football) Allianz Arena took 36-months and they finished bang on schedule, as far as I can remember. 24-months? Hmm, anything's possible, I guess, but unlikely? Where exactly is the available land?

(He ain't no soft lad, Stick, that headed goal against Sweden in the Ukraine was the best header I've seen in an age. Shades of the one-and-only Tommy Lawton - before your time of course :)).

Quite staggering the greed of this person
