Yeah I paid £8.70 for one up in sloane Square a while back. ****ing rip off to drink out that way, £18 for a cocktail most places.
Real ale can be really expensive . I ask the price before buying My mate got a couple if pints a bit back and it was £11,80
Went to some hipster type real ale bar in Leeds and they had some barmy craft beer that was nearly 10% and was just shy of a tenner a pint. I didn’t partake, as I doubt it was a social drink lol.
Don't blame you ! There's lots of real ale pubs in Hull now it's really taken off . Generally about £3,40 a pint .
Horse jizz beer anyone? https://jezebel.com/this-summers-most-refreshing-beverage-is-horse-jizz-bee-1722487816
Hull’s always had some decent old boozers and an enthusiasm for real ale eh mate. I used to like the old town back in the day, had a night out there again during the City of Culture year and really enjoyed it, nice vibe round there now.
Did you live here for a bit ?. The Marina area is really nice now but a bit up market !. New bar opened a few months back and has a decent choice !
Yes mate, back in the day for a bit. I remember a massive trendy boozer on the marina, used to be one of the places to be seen back then, can’t remember the name though.
Pepe's?? Most of them gone now just Green bricks on that bit There's Minerva in the river front which is loads better now . New bar called Taphouse which is nice ! There's a really nice Gin Bar but ain't been in got refused plus a couple of other bars down Humber st which used to be the old fruit market . They've done a reall y good job around there
That’s it! Gone now then? I remember the Minerva, didn’t that do craft ales made on the premises? Someone told me they’d done up the old fruit market with Gin bars and the like.
Yeah it's gone ! I don't go down there a real lot but will do a bit more now you can go in Minerva and Taphouse then on into old town There's also a little bar in the old Victorian arcade in the city centre not far from what used to be Alders
