Interestingly, Godolphin have declared Hurricane Run at Newmarket on Friday. They obviously think he still has it in him to win a race!

Hoping for a better show from Hurricane Lane, he must be doing the right kind of work at home for them to keep persisting with him. But if he fails to fire again I hope they draw up stumps and send him off somewhere nice to meet some ladies, I’m guessing Overbury Stud would be the most likely option as with previous Godolphin stayers.

I’m actually away at a wedding this weekend - family so can’t get out of it! I won’t catch the big race live but hoping to catch up with results later in the evening when it’s a bit quieter - the kids will be with us so it won’t be a late or drunken night!

Yes nice to see. Did he win by 6l or a nk? Racing Post seem confused

Can’t quite believe Chaldean’s price, 7/1 is huge in my opinion so I’ve given him my kiss of death by chucking £10 on!

Oh happy day! I caught up with the result shortly after the race via a quick look at Twitter during the speeches

Will be back tomorrow with my full thoughts once I’ve seen the race proper a few times.

You’re in luck! Shame they’ve not rescheduled the Classic Trial but I guess with the Lingfield Derby Trial and Dante still available there are options.

I was in luck until the ground turned to soft. Declared overnight but a NR this morning.

Adayar wins comfortably. Nice start in the preparation for the Arc, 33/1. That will come down drastically before long

Trainer implied he would be aiming at the 10f races with Adayar and 12f with Hurricane Lane. Surprised, as he won the Derby

Better chance of making a Flat stallion prospect of Adayar unfortunately. Hurricane Lane’s St Leger win is a millstone around his neck as far as the breeding shed goes.
