He has an entry in the BC Juvenile Turf but to take up that engagement he'd need to fly out tomorrow and I doubt they'd be happy getting off the plane from France only to get straight on one to California without a break.

That would be understandable, i just read that the meeting will not be rescheduled.

Frankel's fee for 2018 has been put up to £175,000.

He covered 195 mares in 2017, as soon as I have the full list (should have it in the next few weeks) I'll post a breakdown on here.

Those figures are remarkable, i can see why his fee for next year has gone up to £175,000 although Dubawi's fee is a eye watering £250,000, Galileo's fee is a secret unless someone knows.

Last I heard a few years ago it was €350,000 but is probably nearer €500,000 now.

I've been back in the office today and the 2017 Return of Mares has been released.

It will take quite a while to get through all of Frankel's returns but the broad facts are:

His 2016 book of 104 mares resulted in 41 Colts and 34 Fillies reported so far.
7 mares slipped foal and 4 are confirmed barren
13 mares were exported so Returns have not been made Weatherbys
The remainder are currently listed as No Return and their status will be confirmed in the next few months.

Included in the 75 foals recorded so far are foals out of Danedream, Deirdre, Heat Haze, L'Ancresse, Moonlight's Box and Vodka.

His 2017 book leapt dramatically in number with 195 mares covered, including: Arabian Queen, Attraction, Danedream, Divine Proportions, Finsceal Beo, Flèche d'Or, Heat Haze, Heaven Sent, Infallible, Love Divine, Margot Did, Natagora, Nufoos, Rhadegunda, Rizeena, Sariska, Sky Lantern, Snow Fairy and You'll Be Mine.

A few full brothers or sisters coming in the future, lets hope the Danedream foal has a better time than Nothing But Dreams did.

There's a 2yo Frankel colt out of Danedream in training in Japan called SOLID DREAM.

Apparently Nothing But Dreams was well regarded but did a tendon. The foal on the ground is another filly and the mare was covered by Frankel again this year so they're obviously happy with the mating and how the offspring are turning out.

Yet the Queen has five Dubawi foals and four Royal mares visited him in 2017!!

She has 3 Dubawi yearlings going into training next year. A big investment.

Add to that 2 mares visited Galileo, 1 mare visited Frankel and 1 to Deep Impact

I'm pretty certain that Sheikh Mo does very good deals for HM! He has given her yearlings as gifts in the past and he may well also gift nominations. Coolmore often do foal share deals too - a lot of the Galileo's you see pass through the sale ring are foal shares with the horse only going through the ring so that either the nomination fee can be paid or for one partner to buy out the other.

Yes I'm sure that's right. The Aga Khan apparently offered mares to the Queen (for a season) where she paid for the nomination and kept the foal. Estimate is an example of that. I think that was part of a birthday present to HM, and seemed to run for 5 years. She's also into the Kalanisi, Petite Etoile and Sinndar families because of that. No dividends for the Royal Stud so far though.
At the same time Juddmonte and Darley have supported her with 2yos. I suppose the most significant were Carlton House and Dartmouth.

does anyone know what happened to Carlton House. I know he went to Australia and raced with Gai Waterhouse, retired to Darley - but what happened since?
