From what I can make of this, Cracksman has the longest stride of those mentioned, ahead of Ulysses and Enable; however, the latter of those ran the same distance at a greater peak cadence; and indeed the filly nearly matched Battaash despite running seven furlongs further than the sprinter. There is a fair argument to be made here that Nathaniel’s daughter outpointed Frankel’s son. It is reported that Cracksman may go to the Prix Niel on September 10th at Chantilly as he would not be penalised. Given Gosden’s previous opinion that the Arc Trials are too close to the actual event, that would surely be his last outing of the season and would make sure that he did not start 2018 with a Group 1 penalty.
BRONKEL (Frankel ex Bronte) runs in Chile tomorrow. Also, it's been confirmed that FAIR EVA is being aimed at a comeback in the Sceptre Stakes or the Rosemary Stakes at the end of September. She's been recovering from a bout of colic.
Oh dear on the naming front ....................... why didn't they go for Frante instead? Bronkel sounds like a super-glue or wood sealant
Some updates: BRONKEL finished 3rd on his second start in Chile yesterday DREAM CASTLE has been given an entry for the G2 Topkapi Trophy in Turkey. FINCHE and CRACKSMAN look set to take each other on in the G2 Prix Niel. EMINENT is all set to head to the Arc, with Martin Meade in typically bullish form! https://www.racingpost.com/news/new...ent-and-meade-says-best-is-yet-to-come/298608
Yesterday at Goffs UK (formerly Doncaster Bloodstock Sales) a Frankel Filly out of Ladies Are Forever) was offered for sale. She failed to sell at £160,000 but this morning it was announced that the connections of EMINENT have purchased her privately for £180,000 and she will go to Martyn Meade. The filly first foal out of 3-time G3 winner Ladies Are Forever who is a sister to G1 placed Hoof It.

I've just found out that Sir Henry's former secretary and Frankel's work rider have had their first child. His name - Bobby
STRAIGHT SHOOTER has been given entries in two G3s on 16 Sept at Maisons-Laffitte: Prix Prince d'Orange Prix La Coupe de Maisons-Laffitte Presumably one of these will be his Arc prep run.
Thats great news as i think this one has the potential to be the best from Frankel's first crop. They must think a lot of him to chuck him into a group race off the back of a maiden victory (that hasn't really worked out) and a fairly long layoff. You can get him @ 66/1 for the Arc with Skybet, might be worth a small bet now as a win (especially an authoritive one) will see that price drop dramatically.
It's looking quite possible that Frankel could be represented by 4 colts in the Arc as CRACKSMAN (by no means a certain runner, but Pricewise has put him up as the value bet in the race, stating that they'd be very surprised if he didn't run if he wins the Prix Niel), EMINENT, FINCHE and STRAIGHT SHOOTER all have all been mentioned for the race.
Hello all, i've been a fan of the late Sir Henry Cecil since he took over from Sir Noel Murless. I have been following Frankel's progeny when i stumbled on this site, thank you PNkt for all of your posts, read them all now. I don't think Cracksman will go for the Arc but Martin Meade is very up beat about Eminent, unfortunately i cannot see anyone beating Enable who would have been trained by Sir Henry had he still been alive.

Welcome to the Mad House chaos, your username suggests you'll fit in nicely. As an FYI, I'm still working on the spreadsheet of all of Frankel's known offspring to date. Obviously when I put it up it will be instantly out of date regarding runners/wins but it'll be a useful starting point for those that are interested.
Latest on CRACKSMAN: With Dettori already allied to John Gosden stablemate Enable, Cracksman’s owner-breeder Oppenheimer believes other targets are more likely, with the Frankel colt also entered for the Qipco Irish Champion Stakes, Qipco Champion Stakes and Qatar Prix Niel. He said: “We’ll consider the possibilities and he’s entered in the four races, of which I’d say the Arc is the most unlikely one. “Frankie’s going to be on Enable, so that would count against us, but I don’t know plans as I haven’t spoken to Mr Gosden. I’d like Frankie to ride Cracksman really as we get on very well with him.” Cracksman’s programme for the remainder of this season will also be guided by the desire to have him performing at the highest level as a four-year-old. “We want him to run as a four-year-old, so we wouldn’t want to give him an unduly hard race at the end of his three-year-old season,” Oppenheimer added. “It’s very difficult to know what to do. Mr Gosden will consider his work in comparison to before the York run and we’ll see what he says. He’s come out of the race well, but that’s not to say he’s as well as he was going into the race.” The owner-breeder, who won the Derby and Arc with the Gosden-trained Golden Horn, added: “We’re delighted to have such a nice horse and one who is rated so highly, but it’s very difficult to know what to do with him now. At lot will depend on what's been happening at home. “My guess – and it’s only that – would be that he’d go for the Prix Niel, which is a Group 2 with no penalty, or the Champion Stakes, should it cut up a bit.”
