While I'm on maternity leave I'm putting together a spreadsheet of Frankel progeny so that I can easily keep stats without giving to go searching around the RP site! It'll take a while to put together as I'm planning on listing his current 3yos, 2yos and yearlings. When it's done I will let people know in case they want a copy.

Back to the present, by my calculations after today's races Frankel now stands as follows:

59 Runners
33 Individual winners (56% winners:runners)
Plus 11 placed horses (meaning 75% of runners have finished in first 3)
49 Total races won

FLORA DE MARIPOSA (an Australian bred 3yo daughter of Frankel) broke her Maiden at the second time of asking in Japan earlier today.

I haven't included the Southern Hemisphere bred horses in the list up until now but will incorporate them as they start appearing.

YARAKI also won at Lingfield on debut yesterday.

LADY FRANKEL finished 6th in the Prix St Alary in a bunched finish. She lost 3L at the start after dwelling in the stalls.

Finche is a half-brother to Byword, who was also trained by Andre Fabre. He won the Prince Of Wales’ Stakes at Royal Ascot as a four year old and ran creditably in several other big races, so Finche may get to stick around next season if he is a late developer.

Looking at the pedigree, Finche is inbred 4x3 to Rainbow Quest and 5x3 to Mr Prospector, so stamina and speed in the family.

Martyn Meade has confirmed that EMINENT is being aimed at the Derby and will go to Breakfast with the Stars next week. He told ITV Racing that he did not have the run of the race in the Guineas but that he's been working well in Newmarket, including practising around the left hand bend of the Side Hill Gallop.

TOP DECK ran very green by all accounts. Got unbalanced around the bend but when he got himself sorted started to run on a bit under a hands and heels ride.
