I saw a twitter post that had the whole race and it looked like they went pretty slow early on, so to to quicken away like that off a slow pace I thought was pretty impressive. His trial race the other day was over 2000m so to have that speed and (I think) ability to stay excites me. I know its hard to gauge based on what he has done so far but if he is not a Group 1 performer I would be very surprised.

EXTRA MILE was second at Beverley, beaten half a length after hanging badly in the final furlong.

Its a shame Nothing But Dreams is a non runner. Maybe they don't want her to run on gd/firm. I also was wondering if they had the same concerns about La Figlia when she was entered a couple of weeks back.

ICESPIRE 2nd at Ascot - given a lot to do by Framkie and the gaps just didn't come. Beaten a nose, she should have won buy several lengths.
 
SEVEN HEAVENS disappointing at Ascot.

But a very taking debut from THE GRAND VISIR, could be something special.

I've only just got to watch the Guineas which in the end was slightly disappointing in terms of the Frankel runners. I think the relatively sedate pace early on put paid to Eminent's chances although in saying that a faster pace would have suited Al Wukair and Barney Roy just as much.

Dream Castle is a bit of an enigma. I had doubts about him staying after the Greenham but on today's evidence he looks like he could be a good miler if only they could teach him to settle. I have a slight issue with the tactics on him him too as SDS should've just stayed on the rail where looking at the earlier races it seemed the best place to be.

Still, onwards and upwards with two more classic runners tomorrow and Permian's win paid a complement to Cracksman to day too.
 
Surely Nothing But Dreams isn't going to make her début in the Ribblesdale?

Atty Persse, who won nicely at Sandown 2 weeks ago, has 2 Derby Trial entries this week. Though on balance Frankel is unlikely to provide the Derby winner this year I do feel Atty may be his biggest chance: Godolphin may disagree. I also like the fact that he comes from the Moller's Teenoso family. I'd have thought the Dee was the more likely target.
